I left a review for this place exatly 4 years and 11 days ago. I was very disappointed then with them using canned corned beef hash and canned mushrooms. I returned today 10/18/24 hoping it was better. I was told this plce got better since i last went. Unfortunately they weren't. First was shocked to see a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich was over $11. So i asked the waitress is the corned beef hash canned she said yes. Darn still a lazy chef. My wife and i both ordered "little bit of everything". Which is french toast, 2 eggs, bacon, sausage and home fried potatoes. We both ordered our eggs over medium. The eggs were over cooked, potatoes had no seasoning, and the french toast had no flavor. Very disappointing and the kicker is the waitress was nonexistent. Had to get her attention for hot sauce and ketchup. I dont ask for these things unless the food needs help. Also i finished my tap water before the food showed and she never refilled it. I had to finish my wifes water to get through the meal. She never came back to check if everything was ok. Just came back with the check. Again another very disappointing meal at christos. I will be telling all the clientele i have that discuss the food in the area. Especially the few that claim...
Read moreUpdate 11/4/24 I upgraded the food from 4 to 5 stars. We went for a late lunch at about 3:00. I ordered chicken pot pie from the daily specials menu. Comes with soup or salad and a house dessert. The reason for the upgrade is the chicken pot pie. Wow, it was so good. First, the presentation was nice. It came in a bread bowl. The sauce was silky and butterly. Fres shredded white meat chicken, and vegetables were fresh. The top of the bowl removed was toasted as well as the bowl. I was blown away by the presentation and taste. Generous portion, I took the rest to go. The service was a little slow, I think they were prepping for dinner service. Food and service are consistently good. We usually go to Christo's either after Sunday services or during the week for a quick meal. Food is what you would expect from a small local restaurant catering mostly to...
Read moreEntered this quaint little restaurant in a strip mall in the middle of the many retirement communities in Monroe and were seated immediately. Staff were very welcoming and outgoing. The place was a little busy but not at capacity. Ordered the roast turkey which was very tender and not at all dry, it was very good. The roast beef club was perfectly compiled and was very good as well. The sides were your standard and the chicken rice soup was obviously made in house as it had that home style taste. The waitress was extremely pleasant and appeared to really enjoy working there. All in all it was a good dinner, at least in my opinion, however my dinner companion was a little disappointed with the turkey dinner, not that it was bad, just not to her liking. I would definitely be a return customer, it’s clean and has quite tasty food for a...
