New China House — Restaurant in Monroe Township

Typical hole in the wall restaurant. Food is good, seating is 2 tables and is more for people waiting for take out.

The space is clean and does not smell of hot grease or cooking. Like the old Steak and Shake the entire kitchen is in sight, and almost in reach, of the seating. Much of Chinese cooking is high heat so hot oil smells are typically part of the deal.

Service is prompt and the kitchen is fast. We've tried a number of dishes and I like the rib tips over pork fried rice. The BBQ sauce is well executed. My wife has enjoyed the shrimp in lobster sauce and shrimp with steamed vegetables.

There is a menu and daily specials board. Be sure to look over the specials. Servings are large and I get between 1 and 2 meals.

Plan to take out. Dine in has 2 four-person tables tightly placed just off the path from the door to the counter.

The people in this business, use to be nice, gentle with costumers and the food very tasty. Lately, just in the new year, I wasn't able to even make a phone order. The first time, THE EXCUSE: there is a new delivery person that is not familiar (we talking about "Twin Rivers" 7 mins. from them). I asked to myself, they don't have a in GPS in their car???? I was shock. NO SERVICE!!! Today, I try one more time, people on the phone switch one to another, didn't know if they hear me or what, somebody say: Hello!, and I proceed with my order, when I finish it, I said: "That's all" how much please?. Then, someone else says again: Hello!!! I gave up, looks like a comedy skit!!! This business is going down the drain!!Too much aggravation!!! NO SERVICE AGAIN!!! Good bye!! We are a very Faithfull neighbors, who tried to invest in local business, this one failed to us...

Ordered for a couple of years and food was fine untill last week. Made a $45 order and food was horrible not even edible. Pepper steak with only onions and no steak, the meat was pink and rubbery like old pork besides the container only half full. Tofu dried out and could not be chewed. Moo goo guy pan was actually stale tasting and gummy like it was made days earlier. I called and was told I would be taken care of next order. Called a few days ago to re order was told to call another day. Called today was told my new order would receive a 10% discount. I complained and she got off the phone and came back on and said we only give 10% off for that issue. I told her take my name out of their system I will never order from them again. Buyer beware. $45 worth of food went in the garbage. I am not picky at all but this food...
