Tonight was my 4th time going out to eat at Cocina Fuentes in Monroe, GA. I was looking forward to their delicious food and wonderful fresh salsa. SURPRISE! The Salsa was so hot I could barely eat it. I asked my Server why it had changed but he was not willing to discuss it with me - instead he brought me a dish of cold brown burrito sauce which was blaah. I ordered the same meal tonight as I had ordered on previous visits; a burrito plate with taco, rice and beans. But tonight the meat tasted strange and the burrito itself was raw and wet like gooey Elmer's glue. All I ate was a few chips and the taco. I told both my Server and then the Manager that I was dissatisfied and all they did was smile at me like I was a dummy. They didn't offer me a discount for the awful meal, nor did they suggest I try something else. BUT THEY SURE TOOK MY DEBIT CARD in a hurry. $33.00 for my husband and me . I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. I understand that sometimes meals differ in consistency, BUT they could care less about my patronage or the fact that I told them I was still hungry ~ these people should be ashamed of themselves. I am going back to Three Amigos for MEXICAN food and will never set foot in Cocina Fuentes in Monroe again. When I left I asked the Manager to think about losing my business at $30.00 per week for 52 weeks $1700./yr. He was smiling at me when I left.. I guess the Manager doesn't realize that satisfied customers are the foundation of any successful business. By the way, they only made an 85 in Cleanliness from the Health Inspector. Read moreI had the worst experience at Cocina Fuentes today. My friend and me came here for dinner and we sat in the outdoor area where lot of people were sitting. Our food was served and 20 mins later, the chair’s leg broke and I fell down landing on my knee and elbow. The ladies next to us came running towards me to help me stand up. I asked the server to call for the manager and he came after some time. I explained to him that it’s so dangerous for anyone to sit here and please take proper precautions. I was trying to be nice and help the manager understand that this could have caused serious accident to anyone. Never for once did he say sorry or apologize and instead told me that it’s not his fault that the chair was damaged. I was shocked by his attitude and have never seen such attitude in any restaurant. There was absolutely no sympathy from this manager. I told him if this was any other person other than me, they would have dealt this situation in a whole different way. He only replied back saying that this bad chair is not his fault and that I should have sat inside in the first place. I told him I was very disappointed with his attitude and my friend said since we had this bad experience we would only pay half of the bill.. My order has always been taken by the owner. Yet, it has always been wrong when I get there and I always receive flak. Tonight I called at 9:15, first thing that I asked was if it was too late to place a to-go order since they close at 10. The owner answered, said no go ahead. I place my order, fajitas texana with no tomatoes, mushrooms, or onions. I ordered my guacamole salad on the side with my wife's taco salad I asked them to be in separate bags from the fajitas so that the salad wouldn't be ruined by the time I got home. My food was not separated when I got there. I asked if the salads were in the same bag because I had asked for them separate and I was told, " yes," and then handed me one bag... I asked where the salads were and I was told, "everything was on the side," by the owner, keep in mind he took my order. Botch my order for the fifth time, rude on account of that and had the nerve to say my salad would have been fine if I had been there earlier lol My salad would have been fine in the time it either took me to get there or if you put it on the side like I asked.
