Johnny's Pizza House — Restaurant in Monroe

I am visiting from 980 miles away. I was told this was the best place for pizza around. When arriving no one is here to greet you. No one at the register to take your money. No structure.

The good: when someone was available they did greet with a smile and made me feel welcome.

The bad: probably some of the worst pizza I have ever eaten before in my life. Now keep in mind I am a glass half full kind of guy. I always look for the good but at this point I can find any. You are a pizza shop. That’s all you make. I can’t say your salad bar was a salad because you did not even have lettuce! The pizza, bland, boring, soggy, no flavor whatsoever, absolutely horrible. I saw a younger girl get sick from the pizza while I was inside. My cup was dirty with black flakes of mystery junk.

So in conclusion, I am not a famous writer obviously or a famous food critic but I do know at least what good pizza tastes like. And this was not it.

Johnny’s has the best pizza in the city. However tonight 12-12-2020 my family and I went to the Johnny’s on North 18th street and our experience has not been of the past. We dined in and we’re given dirty plates and were told they had been having issues with the dishes so my wife asked for paper plates, on top of that we our cheese sauce was cold. We asked to replace the cold ones for hot ones and we waited 10 min and still no sauce. Agitated bc now our bread sticks were getting cold I asked for a manager. Manager came out and was fairly nice and brought me 2 more cheeses which wasn’t as cold but wasn’t warm either and took 3 back with her refunding the price for one. She also stated that they ran out of cheese earlier and just had someone get some out the freezer and just put some onto the warmer. The old McKeen’s place would disown this newer 18th Johnny’s in a heartbeat.. will not be coming back to this location...

Went in today at 12 and ordered buffet. First off I fixed my sons plate. As I was putting macaroni on the plate I saw a big flake of dried on cheese that wasn’t cleaned off. I ended up finding stuck on food on 3 other plates while fixing my plate. The buffet only had sausage and pepperoni pizzas on there when I fixed my plate. There were several of them but only sausage, pepperoni, sausage & pepperoni, and 1 Canadian bacon. No variety. Until we were done eating then they started bringing out speciality pizzas. I went to use the bathroom and there was NO soap at all. No container on the wall and not even an empty container. The trash can wasn’t even lined up under the hole in the counter. Today was definitely an off day. I love Johnny’s pizza but I don’t want to come back to this location because it was disappointing to...
