I just left McDonald's on Martin Luther King Drive and the treatment and service was unusually poor. The treatment because I challenged the manager new rule that changed from yesterday to this morning was rude, mean spirited and degrading. I patronize this particular store on the weekends because it is close to where my parents live. This is their treat each weekend and they look forward to it. Yesterday June 8, 2013 was great and the service was great. This morning I encountered someone that should not be in customer service or dealing with the public. I was told I could not purchase senior citizens coffee for my parents and their neighbor unless they were in the truck with me. The order I placed was large and I could not understand the challenge on buying breakfast for my parents WHO ARE SENIOR CITIZENS AND THEIR NEIGHBOR!!!! The manager said unless they are with you, you can't buy but one. I explained that my father cannot travel and my mother was with him until I returned. She looked at me and asked, "do you still want the rest of the order or what?" She was very rude I have never experienced this type of behavior from any McDonald's or their employees. This was a first and possibly my last. I told her it was ok I would go elsewhere..I was never rude or ugly in any manner. I was stunned because it seemed as though she woke up on the wrong side of the bed and the anger she woke with was being spread to all of those...
Read moreIn a franchised fast-food establishment, it's not always about the food. I definitely do not like the lack of a menu board in this & other stores. What is up with that? That is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. My daughter and I went to this store hoping for a specific toy in the 'Happy Meal' for the purpose of completion of a set for my grandchild who was not with us @ the time. We were planning to eat the food ourselves. After having been told that they were out of those particular toys & only had "girl toys" we decided not to have the 'Happy Meal'. While we were trying to make a decision about what to order, one of the young ladies working the front told the manager that they had 5 "little boy" toys left after all. She had been rummaging through boxes under the counter, double-checking without telling anyone. Of course we bought the 'Happy Meal'. The actions of the employee that day went above & beyond. I think it was great. It is that kind of thoughtfulness & great customer service that keeps me going back. As I stated previously, it's not always about the food. As it turns out, the toys were not actually a part of the series we were collecting but my grandson will love them...
Read moreWe went through the drive through and the girl was super slow and we couldn't understand her. She wouldn't put our sauce on the order. And on the menu it says one price and she kept ringing up a different price and was very stupid about it. I have a picture of the menu and price. When we got to the window to get our food, we were given our first order and about 5 minutes later the manager came to the window and reached into our car for the bag and said it was the wrong order and she yelled at us that if it was white paper it was the wrong order and she snatched it back, I'm sure to give to someone else, which is ridiculous. Once it goes into the car, you are NOT supposed to take it back. Then the girl that was working the window a chunky black girl with braids, was super rude. We asked for ranch because we had already asked and she didn't give us any and she rolled her eyes.. very unprofessional, false advertising, and rude employees that ALL need to be fired. Or apparently the regional manager needs to be fired. I also have a picture of my receipt and I...
