Copper Still Grill — Restaurant in Monrovia

Deplorable. I am writing this review from the discomfort of home, after their burger gave me a nasty bout of food poisoning. My father and I were ignored at an uncrowded bar for minutes before and after we ordered a drink. Evidently the staff here find that scrolling on their phones like bored kids at work is acceptable behavior. We had to flag down another bartender to then order food, which in hindsight should’ve been our cue to leave, with our stomachs intact. My burger was very undercooked and my dad confided in me that the fish n chips were the worse he’s ever had. It was deep fried fish jerky at best and our fries were clearly the store bought and left in the back of the freezer too long crinkle cut garbage you’d be ashamed to share with a hungry dog. The jalapeno poppers weren't that spicy but the drama was on FIRE !!! My boyfriend said he felt a bad energy and soon after I found out why. There's drama between the women staff. From what I saw tonight I feel like Joslin was looking to annoy Lola , my waitress/bartender. I saw Joslin stand right in front of the bar area where Lola was at and just stared at Lola with a big smile. Joslin seems to be asking for unneeded attention while Lola was very focused on her duties. She didn't stop once during the entire time I observed them. Joslin stood at the bar area for a total of 4 times and just looking at the television. This is by far the best sports bar/restaurant. Not only is all the staff amazing but the food is very good and very reasonably priced. And of course the drinks are just pure excellence. What’s amazing too is that we threw a birthday party in the upstairs area yesterday and i reserved it a couple of hours before and omg i did not expect them to set it up so organized in such short notice. The party started at 6:30 and I reserved it at 1:30. All the tables were set up , we had games ,balloons , water , tv, and so much more that they provided at the last minute. I cannot emphasize enough how much the whole crew that came for the party enjoyed the whole vibe.
