This is a magical library. Just to be near the trees makes it worth the trip to come here!

I took this picture the night before the hurricane we had here in August. There was a musician to my left playing a beautiful mix of jazz and electronic music - the music was gentle, the sky was stunning & the library just pristine! This night was special, but the music happens all the time. Thursday, Friday & Saturday I always hear someone playing live music nearby when I come at night!

Over the summer they have a live bands every week for a month or two and a huge crowd of people of all ages is singing along & dancing, in the library park! It is really a wholesome & heartwarming vibe.

They have regular events throughout the year in the park surrounding the library. It’s a beautiful place to come & spend the day. There are tons of restaurants on Myrtle & you can go hiking 5 minutes away.

Inside of the library is also beautiful. Excellent selection of books, I always leave with a new stack of books that inspire me!

There is plenty to room to sit and work and huge windows overlooking the trees! You can also sit outside under the trees, there are picnic tables and a beautiful fountain in the front & a huge back area with more trees, tables & a playground. Plenty of parking on the street.

This library is a relaxing & uplifting...

Monrovia Library is simply the top library in the San Gabriel Valley! We've gone to multiple surrounding libraries in the Pasadena, Arcadia and Duarte area and feel Monrovia Library definitely has the best community programs and activities for families and children. What really stands out is their Storytime hosted by Ms. Annette every Wednesday at 10:00am, which I've been bringing my 2 kids to for over 5 years. She is such a wonderful gem to the community! The effort she puts into the weekly Storytime and the various youth programs is outstanding and admirable. The exceptional quality of work when one's passion, interests, and strengths align is apparent in Ms. Annette's dedication to her job.

Another huge selling point about this library is the convenience of a playground right behind it and its beautiful outdoor surroundings of mature trees. It's located right next to Old Town Monrovia, so you can walk over to the downtown for a drink or meal afterwards and make a whole day out of your visit. Highly...

I've never been so in love with a building before. Okay, I have... but this is just gorgeous.

My New Year's resolution was to visit the library often and read at least two books a month (I know that seems very little, but you do NOT know my schedule). So far so good.

Free library card. Free book rentals. Free movie rentals for old movies, $1 for new Free parking

This place is gorgeous and there are tons of places for you to read and study.

I would come here to just sit and read my book. No one bothers you and you have a plethora of books at your disposal!

They have a large selection for Jr and adults....
