Library Park — Attraction in Monrovia

Library Park is located at the north-end of Monrovia's famous downtown (AKA Old Town) and takes up an entire city block, with the Monrovia Public Library at the center. It's perfect for grabbing a meal to-go at one of the many restaurants on Myrtle Ave and enjoying a picnic on one of the picnic benches, in the beautiful open grassy areas, or under the shade of the enormous Moreton Bay Fig tree (one of the largest in California!). There's also a beautiful large circular water fountain with plenty of seating fronting Myrtle Avenue. On the Primrose Avenue side of the park, there's a stage where summer concerts you can enjoy free concerts during the summer, and a dedicated fenced-in play area for children ages 2-12 years old. Library Park is the community's gathering place for Monrovia's annual festivals and events including Monrovia Days celebration and the 4th of July Fireworks show (best in the SGV...and free!). It's also a gathering place for local teenagers on Friday nights. Parking is plentiful on all sides of the park but is restricted...

This library is located at the heart of Monrovia. The outside is beautiful. You can have a picnoc with your family on the grass. There is an ENORMOUS tree that the kids will love and appreciate in regards to nature. A beautiful water fountain shoots water out for little hands to splash in. The fountain is beautiful at night. Great place to take a romantic stroll or sit and people watch. Great restaurants around the parl in walking distance. There is a playgym for children behind library. The library offers books for all ages. It has a childrens area with computers and tutoring for children. You can even read to a dog. EXCELLENT atmosphere and their STAFF has Excellent customer service and they are commited in their duties to help people GROW through...

Very nice..place the city or Arcadia . Has done and still doing an exellent job.

My Family and I ..go from victorville hight desert..to the festival's .The park's around the city are very nice, very clean and safe. So different then other cities..!

We wish we had stuff members like the city of Monrrovia in the hightdesert...

People are very friendly, very respectfull.. The sorounds, the air..much cleaner. So nice and green...!
