We ordered Pork Fried Rice, Pan Fried Dumplings, and Sesame Chicken. We ordered a pint (or small) of each. We ordered on a Monday night in April at almost 6pm. We ordered online - which was awesome! We drove the 15 minutes to get there, and our food was not ready; we ended up waiting and 50 minutes after we ordered, we had our food. A long wait. I will say, though, there were only 2 people there; one on phones and one cooking. While we were waiting, they got 5 walk-ins for pick-ups and 7 phone calls - so they were busy! While waiting, a walk-in customer aid he'd be waiting 90 minutes -- and he ordered before us.
The Sesame Chicken had a good spicy kick to it, but all the pieces were very, very tiny and some of them just seemed to be just the fried battered and didn't have any chicken inside. Disappointing.
The Pan Fried Dumplings were awesome, very delicious and savory, but not fully pan-fried (one side kinda sorta fried, one side steamed). However, they still tasted really good!
The Pork Fried Rice was brown rice, which we admit we didn't expect, but it had this odd slimy texture, there were no vegetables (usually PFR involves peas or carrots), no egg, and 5 pieces of tiny pork in the whole thing. We just expected a bit...more!
Lastly, the establishment itself is quite dingy-looking. We usually don't let that deter us, but this place was particularly sad and alarming.
We wanted to like you, CeCe's. But we'll be going to greenfield...
Read moreOur family orders from here on a regular basis. We’ve generally been pretty satisfied. One night I decided to try to make a stir fry for the fam, but for some reason my rice ALWAYS comes out atleast somewhat mushy. So my fix, was to buy white rice (and other items as well, white rice isn’t much of a purchase, so it wasn’t my only one, out of respect) from the pros who make it for stir frys…Im not trying to replace a Chinese restaurant, I just wanted to see what I could do! Out of interest. Even tho white rice is the one thing Chinese restaurants have in abundance, and always keep prepped for orders, my family was denied the ability to buy a bunch of white rice (again, along w other items)…because I know that the one thing a Chinese restaurant can have and continue to make, I don’t understand why I couldn’t buy quality Asian made rice to test my experimental stir fry (I didn’t want my bad rice to ruin the meal). My business doesn’t matter apparently. Even tho I spend hundreds of dollars there regularly. Very regularly. I’ll be rethinking my patronage. I’m super disappointed I couldn’t even just try a new cooking method. It’s not like I’m trying to sell Chinese food. I just wanted rice that would hold up. Anyhoo. Some customers don’t matter here. I will say that they ran out of white rice (that goes along w SO many diff meals) barely halfway...
Read moreBuyer Beware!! The only issue that I have with Cece's, is that they're hit or miss with their food. Sometimes the food that you get from them is phenomenal, but there are also times when it sucks. Either the flavors are off or they use veggies in their dishes that don't typically get used in some Chinese dishes. Lately, they seem to be using more frozen, pre prepared items that, to be honest, I could get from the grocery store and taste better. I won't flat out say that you should go elsewhere, but be aware that they are inconsistent with the quality of their food. Also, if you're getting delivery, you have to spend a chunk of change, $30., to get delivery and if you're one person, it makes...
