I took a drive today to the Montclair location it’s downtown so keep in mind that parking might be a chore but I was lucky - got a nice spot. When you walk in to the shop it has a young hip kind of vibe with Middle Easterner type decor. I really didn’t what kind of coffee drink I wanted other than iced so the young man who helped me recommended a latte with cardamom so I ordered that and a pastry. The coffee was perfection - I asked that it was prepared mildly sweet and no whip cream so was that really a latte - lol idk but it was certainly delicious - the cardamom was it for me. Now for the pastry- I think it was more of a bread, not too sweet and stuffed with some sought of cheese, like a cream cheese - it had to be cooked so it had a slight crispness; the portion size was large - it could easily feed two people but I was starving after my workout so I pretty much ate it all - needless to say - it was very good. The gentlemen that assisted me was very nice and knowledgeable about the products - it was a friendly atmosphere where you could sit and chat with friends or use your electronic device while you have your coffee or tea. Overall, my experience was great | definitely recommend just wish it were closer to my home but whenever I’m in the area, I...
Read moreI honestly can’t say enough good things about the Qahwah House in Montclair, NJ (493 location). We stopped by around 11 PM, not realizing they were already closed—but when my sister asked if they could still let us in since we were visiting from out of town, Walil (the manager) and his team welcomed us in with smiles. That alone would’ve been enough to impress us, but it didn’t stop there.
The vibes were immaculate and so different from our chains we’ve been too. They served us everything with such warmth and care—delicious tea, desserts, and food, all presented beautifully. Even though they were closed, they made us feel like honored guests, not an inconvenience.
At the end, we left a $200 tip to show our appreciation, and they tried to give it back. Walil literally told us they were just happy to do it for us and expected nothing in return. We insisted and left it on the table before walking out. THAT’S the kind of heart and hospitality you rarely see.
They even helped us pack everything to go and gave us water bottles for our long drive home. The whole team was genuinely kind, professional, and just full of good energy.
Next time I’m in Jersey, I’m definitely coming back. Thank you Walil and team—you truly made our night...

I stopped by Qahwah House and ordered a Nitro Cold Brew with oat milk—and wow, it was absolutely delicious. Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. You can tell this is premium organic coffee crafted with care.
The service was just as great. The barista was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about the coffee. It’s always a plus when the staff make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another order.
But what really sets Qahwah House apart is the atmosphere. The space is huge and beautifully designed, filled with art, historic maps, and fascinating information about the origins and distribution of Coffee Arabica. It’s not just a coffee shop—it’s a cultural experience. You can sip your drink while taking a mini journey through the history of coffee.
This place is more than worth the visit—whether you’re a casual sipper or a serious coffee aficionado....
