Albert's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Montebello

Don't know what lies the 5 star reviews are feeding the public but this place is not worth it at all. Americanized food at it's finest that is extremely bland. Food taste was terrible and taco bell has much better taste. You'd figure a non-chain restaurant would have a better recipe. I had 2 sopes and they would've been great with just beans alone. The extra stuff was bad and catered more to a caucasian new to Mexican food. Meat tasted as if was left over carnitas that was reheated from day before. Red and green Salsa they have is watered down as hell and very bland. McDonald's salsa packets that is loaded with cancer causing preservative, however, was WAY tastier and way more Mexican then what this place has.

All in all, terrible experience and did not finish my plate. Daughter didn't touch her taco at all and I had to stop by another restaurant so that I can fees her something she enjoys. Take your business elsewhere. Hopefully this place improves before somebody else replaces them and shows them what real Mexican food is.

Hoping the owner and management sees this review and actually try to provide better for there customers to improve and expand business. Most just ignore and disregard so hoping they actually make a change...

Also, your front cashier lady seems a bit uncomfortable or miserable for being a position where she must provide a service to a customer. Best to keep her away from customer contact of the business is planning on keeping her . I got a vibe from her that suggest she is not happy, definitely not customer oriented, and seemed like she did not want to be there. Other reviews from the past confirm my experience so get her out or make her change. Your customers are getting upset before even trying the food!!! That lady behaves and took our order like she hates her job.

That's just a bad start for a customer visit and great start for a poor...

Ive been to Albertos at different locations and those were good.

Parking was great. 9 Wide parking spaces available including disabled parking.

The restaurant looks outdated. Table was dirty. Salsa bar looked dried up around the rim as if the salsa had been there from the night before. Some salsa were empty. There was only one customer inside. So doesnt get too busy. Cash only. Ive tried this place a few time and different items.

Burrito de Asada was okay. Not terrible. Good meat ratio. Good size. Something was missing .. flavor could improve. Torta de Asada was better. Good portions Good size. Tosted buns, meat was good today. I wish it had more cheese and crema. Taquitos beef in the photos it looks like a lot of cheese and guace. I was hardly given any. It didnt not have enough cheese or Guacamole. The Taquito had good flavor mainly tortilla. Super fries de Asada size large in the photos it looks large and I was given a small portion. The fries didnt even 3 touch the corners of the styrofoam box. Maybe 2 fries had Guacamole smeared on it. Hardly any cheese. A smear of beans some crema. It was over priced for what I was given I dont recommend this place. I would go to J&S down the street for taquitos. They are rolled thick with good portion of shredded beef and a health scoop of their Guacamole sauce for half the price and they...

This place used to taste a lot better. Pollo Asado burritos are not always available at fast food style Mexican spots. So when I started coming here, it was great they offered a large burrito. Last night the burrito seemed to have kept its large portion, but the filings aren't familiar. A little too much salt, not enough cheese, lost the guacamole, and the pico de gallo ingredients are off... way too much onion. The updated rolled tacos are just as sad. They seem to be filled with less meat and most notably, topped with watery guacamole. I was really hungry and initially ordered 10 rolls and totaled nearly 18 dollas!!
