1st order from this location. I used to love Applebee's in Camarillo CA. We decided to order from here for my birthday. I'm very disappointed. We ordered 3 different adult entrees. My husband's Ribeye steak was as ordered, I was disappointed that you couldn't change French fries as your 1st side so we ordered the garlicy green beans as his 2nd side. My husband said they weren't anything special and he wouldn't have known they were supposed to be garlicy until I told him. Our son's plate was the Four Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders. I ordered extra Four Cheese Mac Sauce for additional $3.00, instead of placing the extra sauce on the noodles, it was placed in a separate container. Ok I can live with that but when the container is the size of a small dressing or the size of the cups you get drink samples at Costco or the market then I don't think it was worth the extra $3.00. For my plate I ordered the Double Crunch Shrimp I said no coleslaw so I ordered Garlic Mashed potatoes with extras, bacon, cheddar cheese and sour cream. I received a plate the size of a kids plate, my husband’s container was bigger was that because it was a Ribeye steak pd over $20.00 .? I don't know but again the size looked like a kid’s plate. I received no fries (I really didn't want them) as the menu states it came with I just said no coleslaw and I replaced with mashed potatoes but instead I received a small container (kid sized) of mac and cheese. Not Kraft mac and cheese (thank god) but homemade it was good but not worth the price. We ordered the catered Caesar Salad and I asked for extra Caesar sauce the Salad size was great but no dressing in the salad or out. It's hard to eat Caesar salad without the dressing. What a way to top off our order!?
Well we’ve decided, we won’t order from here again. Shame the menu has changed or maybe the "To Go menu" is different than the "Eat In menu", I don’t know? It’s just sad that a previously favorite restaurant chain is not like the one in Camarillo. Too bad I moved in...
Read moreEverything started off good upon entry, but once the food came out it was a different story!! Not only was the service slow, but both mine & my husbands food came out cold! That was hard to fathom being that it took so long for the food to come out! Once the food came out I asked the waitress to stay put just in case it was not cooked to my liking/request. It wasn’t medium well & it was cold & so was my husbands food! She took it back & I’m assuming it was the night manager who brought the food back out. Not only did they not remake the food, but he brought the food out on the same dirty plate filled with blood juices running on the plate & onto my mashed potatoes as well. I explained to both the “manager” & waitress what our issue was & the waitress then stated “they cooked the steak the way you asked them to.” And I let her know that medium well & blood juices on the plate do not go hand & hand!
My husband is an EXECUTIVE Chef (for a prestigious company) & we only came to your restaurant because I’ve had great experiences at Applebees in other states & I like Applebees. I can guarantee you that we will never come back here & I will make sure to not only to spread the word, but I will be emailing your corporate office as well. This is unacceptable & very unprofessional!
The last thing you want is to get a paying customer sick because the cooks are not doing the...
Read moreCame here for a last minute family time. We ordered the Tipsy Zombie, coffee, onion rings and the Sizzlin Caramel Blondie Skillet.
There is plenty of parking in the lot and they have a nice patio area with tables socially distanced.
The Hostess was friendly and helped us right away. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated. This was the estimated time we were given. Yay!
Our waiter was very cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He took our drink order right away. Drinks were brought out quickly. Shortly after, he came and took our order for food. The food didn't take long at all to be brought to oyr table.
The drinks were very refreshing and tasty. I recommend trying the Tipsy Zombie if you like sweet drinks.
The coffee was nice and hot. It hits the spot when the weather is a little cool.
The onion rings were nice and crunchy. The portion is enough for two people to share.
Tha Apple Blondie was soooooooo delicious. It's a great combination. Also enough to share with one or two people. This was my favorite!
The only issue I had was that our waiter dissapeared after the food was served. He didn't offer a refill fodnthe coffee or asked if we needed anything else. We had to ask two different employees for the check.
I would...
