Broaster Kitchen — Restaurant in Montebello

I enjoy eating fried chicken very much depends who prepare it and cook the chicken pieces right in a fryer or an old fashion black skillet the best way to cook the chicken right. We have been to many chicken joints from different places in the states and some places in different countries. We decided to come to the Broaster Kitchen this my first time going here and try the fried chicken my wife been there many times.

We step then we look at the menu display and decided what to order then my wife order the fish n chips and I order the three pieces mixed meal it comes w. ith fries,roll and Broaster potatoe. Each order is made to order fresh and hot when you receive it. It took about 20 minutes to cook the chicken right then they brought the food it looks good.

I took a bite of it it was hot from the fryer but it was juicy and very crispy whe I took a bite. Each pieces was cook perfect each piece have that crispy crunch.. I really enjoy the chicken and Broaster potatoes were very good they two pieces and come with fries and roll. My wife did enjoy her fish n ship but it lacking lemon and the malt vinegar that a traditional condiments. The chicken was really good be next time I need to order...

There is no AC, the wait is long, and the food is somehow both overly greasy and not seasoned enough. The chicken, although moist, felt like chewing on rubber sometimes which is made even worse when every other food item is horrible by comparison.

The potato wedges are messes that fall apart, the macaroni salad tastes worse than what you can get at the grocery store, and I don't know how they keep their biscuits or if they make them this way but the biscuits were tasteless little rocks of dough.

The customer service was okay but the cook with the tattoo and hat gave me the stink eye like I offended him somehow. And the restaurant's floor was sticky. I think that may be from the trash overflowing with sodas and whatever else. I hope the owner has a good pest control situation because that could lead to cockroaches and rats with all the trash.

And finally, the prices were high. Overpriced food can sometimes be worth it if the food is amazing.

Sentiment took me back, it had been a few years since I had been there. The best thing about this place is that the chicken is made fresh. It isn't sitting under a heat lamp. With that said...the wait is long so you better call in your order. As for the con: every single thing is bland! No seasonings are used. No salt, no condiments are offered. The best thing that this place has to offer is that the chicken is made fresh. So my recommendation, call in an order of chicken and stop at a supermarket and grab the rest of your meal. Do not order anything else on the menu you will be disappointed and it will be...
