My wife ordered a Campechana on June 16, 2023. She got food poisoned from it. We ate our food around 8 pm. At 3 am she woke up with diarrhea, by 10 am she was feeling cold, stomach ache, muscle pain, around 4 pm she complained she was burning up. We were in the emergency room till midnight. They confirmed a fever, elevated blood pressure, and put her through the scan were they scanned (radiation) her organs and found here colon was inflamed which they associated with an infection. She currently on antibiotics. We have been to multiple El Pescador locations, over 100 occasions. Truly, our favorite Mexican restaurant in LA until this happened. Always recommended it to family and friends. I say this with a heavy heart, it’s unlikely we will be going back ever. Last thing I would like to point out, and this seemed a little odd, but for a campechana, caldo de 4, and a flight of drinks we were billed 77 dollars (with taxes), idk, the math didn’t add up given the these items cost 19, 22, 16 dollars. But the three cups of flight drinks were bigger than the normal 3 shot size cups (we were surprised by size since my wife was expecting the small shot cups for the flight, so that might have been the reason for the higher cost, idk though), and asking for the bill, the guy priced all items in a little scanner which I payed through and I failed to ask for a receipt for whatever reason. I did tip 10 dollars regardless since the waiter was polite. Money is not an issue, but food poisoning definitely is, and it happens, hopefully they can investigate their...
Read moreI came here to have a nice dinner today with my son and three of his uncles and upon arriving to the front door the greeter is laughing at us telling us its weird and awkward that i brought my son along with his other uncles like we was weird for having my nine month old with us like she's never seen a responsible fit father and his family before to have dinner /?maybe because she never knew her father,?? im not a single dad his mom was just at work working her second shift,so That was very rude and unprofessional for her to judge us,, never again will i come to this restaurant. Is that how familia Ortiz greets their customers by saying that bringing their 9 month old baby along with 3 other guys/his (uncles) is awkward ? It made me feel very uncomfortable thru out the whole stay especially when i noticed that she was telling other coworkers to look our direction and laughing at us cuz we was four guys and a baby//??really we spent over $160 and I'm going to complain and tell everyone how crappy this place really is and trust me i have followers and a big family as u can see :) can't wait to see my sons mothers and my families reaction when she/they hear about this incedent .never again and expect my call tomorrow don't tell me your manager is busy again because i will drive back all the way to your unprofessional workplace personally and talk to her myself.thank...
Read moreThis place was really nice. We had a really nice server named Linda who helped us out with our questions regarding the drinks, the food, and about the night life since it was my first time I wanted to get a feel. I appreciate the great service my friend and I were taken care of from start to finish by anyone working in this establishment. I was also able to see whom I believe is the manager checking in with us and other tables around me . Also to be greeted by the a host in the main entrance really gives you the assurance of really being assisted all the way . There was plenty of parking but I noticed once it hits 6:30 it starts getting packed. I was informed that by 6pm it’s only 21 an over in the bar area so you get ID and gets packed with a DJ playing great music and just gets a lot of people going. I would recommend this for two people and big parties . I’m sure they can accommodate y’all just come a bit before six if you want to sit a big group together. I will definitely be coming again. Also the restrooms were supper clean they smaller great and I don’t know what it was with the rocks on the sink but I felt like I was in a resort , Las Vegas, or a private event going in there . Also there’s a sweet lady taking pictures some you can purchase for $15 and one postcard is free on the house which I though was...
