This small family owned business has been serving the Montebello community for literal generations!!! It is a popular local Italian deli, artisan sandwich maker, and small Italian goods retailer. They freshly slice meats and carry imported goods. The best sandwiches in a multi-city radius are made here!
There is adequate parking if you don't mind walking 50ft to the back door from the larger parking area :) Some high chair seating is available.
Pros: Great food. Best cold cut sub sandwiches you will ever eat!!! High quality. Supports a small family business. Good service. Usually quite friendly staff. Staff are helpful. Reward points. Great catering options!!! Different bread options. Quite clean interior. Okay seating quantity. Good seating quality. Booth seating available. Clean tables (and table legs!)
Cons: Definitely on the pricier side. If you stay here long enough, you will smell like Frumento's but that could also be a pro ;) Staff can get VERY busy. The business can get VERY crowded during lunch.
Overall: Frumento's has been prosperous for generations so they must be doing something right. They have outstanding food and this business 100% gets a recommendation!

Read moreEstablished in 1958, Frumento's is located in the city of Montebello, on West Beverly Blvd right across the street from the Hospital. I first heard about this place through word of mouth from a former coworker who often had nothing but good things to say about this place. The first thing you will notice about this place, coming here for the first time, is the building. It is quite old, but it feels authentic. Old buildings do have a certain charm, a certain style, and grace about them that we should appreciate. The next thing you will notice, coming here for the first time, is the smell of food. This place smelled amazing the moment I walked through the door. Frumento's is both a deli and a market. They sell packaged pastas, wines, soda, and all things wonderfully italian. From the deli, you can order freshly made pasta dishes, hot and cold sandwiches, pizzas, and other italian dishes. On the day I went there, I ordered the 12" Italian combination called the Taste of Italy and it was delicious. It was stuffed with Proscuitto, Capocollo, Provolone, and other things. I would get this sandwich again, in a heart beat. Check this place out if your tummy is yearning for something...
Read moreI recently ordered takeout from Frumento's Italian Market Deli after finding their menu through a Google Maps link. The link directed me to their menu on the SinglePlatform service. I placed my order over the phone based on the prices I saw there. However, upon arrival to pick up my food, the total charge was nearly double what I had calculated. When I questioned the significant discrepancy, the staff member simply blamed Google and the platform, claiming they had no control over the online pricing and could do nothing about it. This response is unacceptable. The restaurant is responsible for the information displayed about their business, even on third-party services like SinglePlatform. They have the ability to update their menu and prices, and shifting the blame to another company is a serious failure of customer service. I didn't mind paying the price shown in their physical manu but It left me feeling frustrated and misled. While the food itself was okay, the experience was ruined by the misleading pricing and the staff's refusal to take responsibility. For this reason, I urge Frumento's to take control of their online presence and ensure price consistency for a better...
