George Elder Park Pool — Restaurant in Monterey Park

I’m really disappointed on how they treated my boyfriends sister.

They told her if she had anything else to wear besides her tank top. And they told her if she had anything other than basketball shorts. More than half of these boys had basketball shorts on in the pool so what’s the problem??? And I even asked my boyfriend if he was asked if he had anything besides basketball shorts. He said no. Other people walked by with the same thing and others were even wearing T-shirt’s. And they didn’t get warnings. She doesn’t want to wear anything that she feels is too revealing and she should be respected for that.

You can also tell that some of the lifeguards don’t like their jobs. They roll their eyes often at kids which you should not do. AND when receiving our stuff after we were done swimming, the lifeguard in charge was not only out of sight, but WAS ON HER PHONE. Another swimmer had to scream “HELLO”. Not only is that disrespectful but totally unprofessional. The girl we paid to go in also had her feet up on the desk, on her phone and didn’t even notice people were there.

The 40-yard pool is nice for community programs, but the Barnes Park Olympic pool is still needed for the swim teams so that they have a competition pool.
