Yoshinoya Monterey Park

Staffs do not know how to cook Asian food. The gyoza is required to have the crispy bottom. The first image is from the store, and the second image is from the Yoshinoya store at Rosemead. The bottom of the Gyoza is not crispy, and it is totally black over burned. The one at the Rosemead store has a crispy bottom. For this Monterey Park store, I got the overburned dumplings every time I go there. They should Google Search on how to cook Pot Stickers. The overburn can cause cancer.

I tried to explain them the issue, but they never want to listen or do not understand like kitchen nightmare.

The Gyoza is called Pot Sticker. Japanese working mother invented as a quick way to cook a meal by putting the dumplings in the pot with a small amount of water. The top part of dumplings is steamed and the bottom part got heated up to be crispy shape as the water is turned to steam. It is a faster way to cook the dumpling than the traditional soup dumplings method. I explained to them, but they said I was asking them to grill the bottom. They should show their dumplings to Asian people on the street and ask them the issue, and I promise people will ask them how did they cook it like this. They should not cook it like this. It must be some Kitchen Nightmare way. It is not I asked them to grill the bottom, but it is how did they cook it like this?

In addition, their kitchen closes at 10PM that is an hour before their closing time. No Gyoza and I guess we can only get the leftover.
