Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Montgomery

I’m in outside sales and I will drive 20 minutes out of my way to eat at chicken salad chic . I arrive at the vaughn road location in Montgomery, there is an elderly couple standing at the counter , a girl standing behind them . The elderly couple turned around and said we’ve been standing here 20 minutes and haven’t seen anyone . Do we sit down or just wait . The young girl said she had been there for at least 15 minutes and had not seen anyone . I walk to the counter there’s a lady standing back there so I said are y’all open ?? She said yes some one will be up there in a minute. About 8 minutes a young girl walked up and took the elderly’s order . Another girl with a chicken salad chic TShirt was walking out the door , then a black headed girl came to the front . The place was dirty ! Lids on all teas wasn’t even closed . I’m totally in shock, it cost a lot of money to own a chicken salad chic, I bet the owner has no idea how poorly this location is being managed . It definitely want be back . took 21 minutes to receive my food and there was only 1 customer ahead of me. Self serve cooler broken Coke flat My chips didn't make it in my to-go order Toaster was broken Out of fruit Bread for my kids sandwich was stale The staff was clearly distracted by friends of theirs who came into the restaurant, back and forth chatter between them all, which likely led to the obnoxiously long wait time. One of the employees, was wearing a chicken salad chicken shirt, kept going into the kitchen then back to the register and then out front to hang out with his friends. I'm not even sure this kid was working at that time, at times he acted like he was working and other times he acted as casual as a customer. 🤷‍♂️

I've always enjoyed Chicken Salad Chick for lunch--the food is tasty, and the daytime staff is usually super friendly. However, my recent visit around 6:45 PM on a weeknight was a letdown. The place was empty, and I jokingly mentioned to the cashier that we had it all to ourselves, but she didn't respond or even crack a smile. Then, she informed us we could only order to-go, despite the posted closing time being 8:00 PM. No signage on the door indicated the dining room was closing early, which was frustrating. We ended up leaving without ordering. The night staff could use a serious lesson in customer service, and management should be aware that this is happening. I love the food here, but this experience left a bad taste. Please clarify dining hours to avoid...
