I just discovered Saffron Indian Kitchen, and WOW WOW WOW!!
Saffron, charming Indian culinary haven, left my taste buds in awe with its exquisite array of flavors. From the moment I stepped inside, the inviting aromas set the stage for a remarkable dining experience.
I started my culinary journey with a plate of Bhaji and Samosas that were, in a word, divine. The crispy, golden exterior of the samosas gave way to a fragrant, spiced filling that delighted my senses. The Bhaji was an explosion of flavors and textures, perfectly fried and served with a delicious tamarind chutney and mint sauce.
Next, the Butter Chicken- The "Crown Jewel" of the evening, graced my table along with an array of side dishes. The creamy tomato-based sauce was a perfect harmony of rich, velvety flavors, generously coating tender pieces of marinated chicken. It was an absolute symphony for my taste buds.
The Saag Paneer and Vegetable Korma showcased the restaurant's prowess in vegetarian cuisine. The Saag Paneer was a delightful blend of creamy puréed spinach and soft pan seared paneer, while the Vegetable Curry/Korma was a medley of fresh vegetables in a luscious, aromatic sauce.
The Biryani, one of my favorites, was a fragrant revelation, with each bite revealing a myriad of spices and perfectly cooked rice, all adorned with succulent pieces of meat and topped with savory fried onions. It transported me straight to the streets of Hyderabad.
The Dal Makhani was a silky, soul-warming dish with a depth of flavors that seemed to have been simmering for hours, leaving me craving for more--And the garlic naan, freshly baked and still warm, was the perfect companion to soak up every last bit of these insanely flavorful sauces.

Be prepared to have your tastebuds dazzled and your belly stuffed like a samosa 😂 So happy to have this delicious Indian restaurant in Montgomery.
I dream about coming here! I have come here too many times to count but only to the buffet and it is heavenly.
There is a good selection of vegetarian dishes and meat dishes. The chana masala, daal, eggplant (when it’s featured) and tandoori chicken are my favorite. The mango ice cream is also an absolute must. Do not leave without it trying it. The price is a little high but so worth it. For fresh food, variety, and good service I will happily pay.
The servers are kind and quick to assist. Do come with loose fitting clothing if you come the buffet because you will eat a lot!
2023 first quarter: Best Indian buffet! The food is fresh. There’s a lot of variety of dishes for vegetarians and meat eaters such as biriyani, dal, potatoes, goat, chicken, fish, cabbage or beets, and so much more. My husband is vegetarian and is very pleased here. The selection of chutneys is mouthwatering- the cilantro one is one of the best I’ve eaten. Their naan is soft, fresh, and abundant. Definitely try their mango ice cream- it’s heavenly. My family and I are repeat customers. I’m sooooo happy this quality restaurant exists...
Read moreFor Vegetarian Food only (Dinner Dine in): I drove from Birmingham since I heard from my friend that it's good and ordered Malai Kofta and Kadhai Paneer. Malai Kofta was okay and Kadhai Paneer was pathetic. It tasted like they dropped paneer cubes inside already made common masala(gravy) of other curry. Birmingham restaurants are far better than this.
Tandoori Roti was a joke. It didn't taste and look like Tandoor roti at all.
Service: This is another thing that was disappointing. They took so long to bring the food. And it was so difficult to get their attention if I had to order something after placing my first order. When I decided to order Tandoori Roti, it took more than 15 minutes to bring it on my table. I was literally eating salads while waiting for the Roti. When I asked how long it will take to order more Roti, employee said if I keep on ordering one Roti at a time, it's going to take time since there are other people in the queue. I decided not to order. There were only 2-3 tables occupied in addition to ours.
I haven't tried Non veg during this trip and not sure if I would go again for trying non veg. However, if I happen to go there some other time, I will...
