Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Montgomery

This is in fact a real Shipley’s. I was skeptical. I moved to the area recently and it seemed like this was a ghost store or just a historical location. Several times I have gone by to see they are not open.

Today at 9am I was pleased to find that they are actually open. It is only 6am-12 noon they are open.

There was only one lady in there that I could see, she was not very patient nor very friendly. Very cold and mechanical. I asked her about why the store is sometimes closed and she said we are never closed, always open. (Except for hurricane)

I personally tried to come at least 3 times and it was closed before the hurricane, so I don’t trust her response.

Anyway, this is my honest experience of this specific location and I hope it stays “always open” like she said for those of you who love the Shipley’s...

Went to Shipley donuts this morning The kolache’s we had absolutely fabulous the Best kolaches in any Shipley donuts that I’ve ever been to. The service was absolutely astonishing. The customer service rep at the window was the sweetest lady I had spoken to in a while she even made us one extra donut a piece. She had just sold out the last of the maple donuts that my nephew wanted to order. So not only did we get the donuts we asked for she also made us two of the same kind of donuts and they were both fresh and warm and delicious. I would suggest anyone go to Shipleys donuts in Magnolia.

Tried eating here twice. First time I showed up 3 hours before closing time and they were out of most donuts, so decided to go else where. Came back the next day at 6am as that was the time they opened and really wanted to make sure I got the donuts I wanted. Sat at the window for until 6:10am and no one ever showed up. Will not be considering...
