When they first opened, we waited til the crowd simmered down and they weren't so busy. Kept hearing they couldn't function well as if they hired everyone that never worked in fast food before. When we first went, service wasn't that great and it took waaaaay too long dining in to get our order. It can be tough when you first open, but the food was really great. 2nd and 3rd visit was pretty good. I could tell the service was going down. I'm hoping that wasn't the case anymore since it's been a while since we went.
Today's visit (4th I think), service is just non-existent. No one in the parking lot. One car in the drive thru. Then we pull in and go to the speaker. Several minutes pass and a young girl finally comes on and says, "Hold on a sec." Nothing like 'Hi, sorry for the wait. I'll be right with you in just a moment.' So we wait. She finally comes back to take our order. We see the sign about no sodas. Ok, so we'll get sweet tea. My husband asks for a #2 combo and asks if it comes with onion. It shouldn't take a worker that long to find out. She comes back and didn't actually answer and she said, 'So a #1 with no...?' My husband corrected her in a polite manner, "No, I want a #2 with no mayo and no onion if it comes with onion." She assumes the order is done and says, "Will that be all?" Why so quick to hurry up and be done with someone's order? My husband tells her what I want. The girl gave us our total and we pulled around. She came and took our payment and didn't apologize for no receipt paper. Just simply said, "There's no paper for receipts." She brings us our sweet teas pretty quickly, but we put our straws in and the tea is soured. She finally brought us our food and we told her the tea is sour. We weren't mean about it. Sometimes it happens, but she looked at both of us like she had no idea what to do. Like she was frozen in shock. She then offered us the other drink options, but lemonade and hi-c aren't good with burgers or chicken sandwiches. So we're ok with no drinks. We ask for something else to replace the drinks. The worker wasn't rude, just not cheerful she wasn't enjoying her job. The order was correct, but when we got home and I'm eating my chicken sandwich, it's so spicy, I can't finish it. If it's really a spicy grilled chicken sandwich, i haven't seen anything about it being spicy. The fries are so salty I can't finish those either. Customer service is just non-existent here. I guess there's a reason why the parking lot is always empty when I drive by going somewhere. I hate leaving negative reviews. Hope the manager reads these reviews and can take the feedback and learn what to change. If I do visit a Jack's, it'll probably be in a...
Ā Ā Ā Read more3 bad experiences in a row. XXX We tried Jackās in Monticello after church one Sunday and really enjoyed it, so we made it a routine most Sundayās. Then about 2-3 weeks ago wks ago we ordered our usual chicken finger family meal (chicken, biscuits, 2 sides and tea/lemonade). When we got to our picnic destination we discovered the chicken was haphazardly thrown in the bag. No drink, no biscuits, dipping sauces or no sides! Usually itās all in the big bag.š¤ Loaded kids back in car & drove back to Jacks. I went inside and was greeted with mixed attitudes, some glares, some grumbles and ultimately I was given the sides and sauce, but when we got back to the park, we discovered they threw it in the bag as if they were throwing it in the trash rather than feeding paying regular customers. It was a mess! I blamed myself for not checking the bag while I was inside the restaurant, but I was standing at the counter with the manager when she said they were āgoing to make it right.ā I was hungry with kids waiting in a hot car and just wanted to grab the food and go. It was not a good experience at all. š«¤
After a couple of weeks, we decided to try again today and buy just two breakfast biscuits, orange juice, chocolate milk and a blueberry cream cheese fried pie. I sent my granddaughter inside to buy it. She came out w/ the food, handed me the receipt & said they told her they donāt have chocolate milk, so she got another orange juice. No problem EXCEPT they charged me for a chocolate milkshake and gave us a bottle of oj that costs 80 cents less. š§ I go inside to collect the change they owe us and they acted as if I was assaulting them! š³ They honestly behaved as if they didnāt owe me the difference in a milkshake (which we did not order) and the orange juice they gave us. Imagine if they overcharged every customer 80 cents today; someone could pad their pocket pretty well! Anyway, I got my change and headed down the road. Then the kids pulled their biscuits of the bag with some disgust. They were half wrapped in ripped paper dripping with grease. Yuck! Neither biscuit was eaten. Finally, I pulled out the pie and took a bite. Lol It was empty! EMPTY!!!! š³ I pulled it all the way out of the box to find it had a big hole in the back and I guess everything poured out. Unreal! Halfway to Jackson there was no way I was going back over there. I ended up buying bāfast for the girls at DD in Jackson. š¤Ø
That Jackās is a bad joke! Itās a real shame too because we were really enjoying the Sunday chicken picnic lunch. Really it was good, but we wonāt be going back there...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe service at this location was a horrible exhibition. There are no choices below 1 star. Generally the service at most Jacks restaurants is very good but this was beyond anything Iāve ever experienced anywhere. I was the only one in line and it took 15 minutes for anyone to take my order and when that moment finally arrived I was made to feel like a bother. Multiple customers came in after me and after waiting for service simply walked out. Drive through customers were leaving as well. The staff looked unenthused and moved slower than slow motion in an uncaring manner but one in particular who served me put a lot of effort into texting on her phone and that was all she put effort into . People who arrived before I did and were waiting on their orders noticed and were saying the same things as well. So, after waiting almost an hour to get my takeout order, it was wrong! The person filling the order looked like she hated her job. Rather than to go through the hassle of returning I simply took what I got and left with it. The food that I got was good and thatās all I can say. Jacks, youāre better than this! I will take my business to the location in Gray from now on. I could write much more about my experience here but simply donāt...
