The Denny's in Montrose is my mom's favorite go to restaurant in town! The food is always good, and the prices are always very reasonable. That being said, the best part of the diner is by far the people and service there. Just this last week I was visiting my mom and (as always) we had exceptional service by the incredible people who work at the Denny's in Montrose! When we arrived at the restaurant, we met Katie, who was the hostess, and when we requested a booth, she made a point of finding us one even though they were kind of busy at the time. During this visit, our server was Heather, and she was very nice and pleasant and did a really great job overall. I think what was most striking about Heather was her wonderful attitude and efficiency. She was always quick to meet our food and service requests and offered a warm smile that told us that she made us a priority and genuinely cared about us. Thank You Heather - you are amazing and so very appreciated!! I also think that it is important to mention both Arianna and Allison because even they were not serving us directly; they both played a major part in the big picture of making our experience a memorable one. You see, while Heather was taking care of some of the other customers (ONLY because she was very busy at the time - handling multiple tables at once) my mom wanted some other items (like crackers for her soup and stuff like that) so when I approached the counter to retrieve what my mother had asked of me, Arianna and Allison quickly helped me and I was able to return to our table in a in a very timely fashion. I also want to mention that Arianna was very kind to us when it came time to settle up the bill for both my mom and me at the end of our meal. For example, Arianna honored my mom's discount card which allowed us to save a considerable amount, of which we applied mostly to the gratuity. Thank You both Arianna and Allison!! And of course, no review of the Montrose Denny's would be complete without mentioning Sarah the Manager. What is so distinctive about is that Sarah is that she could be doing anything she wants, but she purposely chooses to run the show there. I hope that the Denny's in Montrose realizes what an incredible gift and blessing they have in Sarah - she is amazing. Sarah's fantastic attitude and smile are second to none and she really is the face of the franchise. I hope that she gets a raise and is allowed into more of an ownership position at Denny's!!! And if not, I hope that the powers that be find something better for Sarah and her amazing daughters to be doing. Thank You Sarah (and family, and Heather - you are all incredible)!! Read moreWe've been to Dennys as a family several times, and each time has been a great experience. This time looked to be no different until the end. Our food was great and our server gave us great customer service. But when we got the bill, we noticed we had received a single scoop ice cream sundae but had been billed for a double scoop ice cream sundae.
We didn't tell our server because we figured we just take care of it at checkout, since we also had a coupon for reading a certain number of minutes to our child. The coupon we had was from Dennys for two free kids meals with the purchase of one adult entree.
When we explain this to the cashier, she seemed to become very confused, said something about not being able to do two transactions on one order, and walked off. Her confusion have lasted several minutes and our children grew restless, so my wife asked me to take them out to our vehicle while she paid the bill.
When she came out, I asked her how it went, and she said that the manager had come up but was very distracted talking to somebody else and did not understand what the coupon was for, probably because he did not take the time to read the fine print on the back, which explained its purpose clearly in the first two sentences.
I asked her if he corrected the double scoop to a single and she said that he did, but since he didn't understand the coupon, he said he'd give us $4 off our meal, which was kind, but I would rather have had the two kids meals be free like they should have been because of our coupon, which would have been a little more than $6.
So while the difference between what we paid versus what we should have paid wasn't extreme, the time and effort it took to get it ended our visit on a rather sour note, which is a shame since it was our son's birthday. Thankfully he's young enough he didn't notice any frustration as everything for him had gone well. We'll certainly come back, but I wish I could rate our visit with 5 stars...

Upon receiving Our Food I was VERY SKEPTICAL ABOUT EVEN TASTING MINE but I did " It was The Loaded Tator Tots with Chilli and NO SOUR CREAM "HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TASTE!!! I looked over at my Son and If Looks could say A Thousand Words, His DID Motzarella Sticks with Marinara Sauce" I said What's The MATTER?? His Frozen Face looking at Me he pointed to The Marinara Sauce I Had to go on a Search for MEAT "HE IS TOTALL VEGETARIAN" I didn't have to do much but Look and grabbed Something and chewed it sure enough it wasA Frozen MEAT BALL!! I had to Let him out of The Booth and he Vomited!! I Searched The Menu Over to Make Sure we didn't Miss SOMETHING ABOUT MEAT PRODUCTS?? There was NO MENTION OF SOY PRODUCTS, PEANUTS,MILK,OR MEAT CONTAINING WARNING'S!!! I was Shocked!! I Did Bring this up to Someone in Charge and I hope for Every Person, Parents,New Parent OR The Whole World To Know This!!! IF It's NOT LISTED ASK!!!
