Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Montvale

It hurts me to write this review, especially because I absolutely love Habit Burger. However, this is regarding a particular employee. He’s bald, stocky individual who really seems to be unsuited for this industry.

Today was the second instance of experiencing his amazing people skills - the first time was a few months ago when he had a fit and refused to put the food in our open trunk, at curbside pickup, for some reason.

Fast forward to today, and again he was showing us attitude for not parking in a handicap spot to pick up the order (there was no parking available right in front, but we were just across the store front). He then proceeded to give me a lecture of why I’m not parked in the handicapped spot, realized it was a handicapped spot, and half-heartedly apologized because he just realized it was a handicapped spot. He subsequently began telling us they “don’t do curbside pickup” anymore, even though it’s in the app. I don’t work for the company, but I do believe it’s their responsibility to get rid of that option, no?

Love the company, it’s hard working individuals and their respect to the current environment, but this particular employee really does sour...

My debit card was stolen and used by an employee at Habit Burger located at 22 Farm View, Montvale, NJ 07645. I’m highly disappointed because I was loyal customer for over 3 years. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 I noticed my card was missing. However I did not think much about it at that moment. Friday, April 28, I visited Habit Burger again, making a purchase of $9.16 on my credit card. Today Saturday, April 29 as I was replacing the stolen debit card the bank clerk notified me that an additional purchase was made at Habit Burger for $9.16 on my stolen debit card. Matching up my credit card history with debit card it was obvious the cashier made a purchase with the debit card they stole at the same amount I made on the credit card on Friday for $9.16 so I would not notice. Customer service was NOT helpful in resolving the issue. In order to address the situation directly you have to go in-person to the store. Everything done through internet or calling is 3rd party or automated. Please be careful when making payments at this...

The food here is always consistent and tasty — it’s definitely more than just burgers and fries and it’s a lot better and fresher than your typical fast food burger place. Habit has very good salads, grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie and Impossible Burger alternatives, fried chicken sandwiches, etc. The seasonal menu items keep it interesting, from pretzel bun pub burgers (pictured) to breakfast burgers with eggs and bacon. Hope the garlic parm fries become a standard menu item. Habit also has some unique “healthier” sides like green beans and cauliflower. The menu notes calories The onion rings are great, the fries are pretty average. Lots of drink options including teas and limeade. You can order on their app for in-store pickup. I always enjoy the pineapple teriyaki burger. Also great ranch dressing / dipping sauce

The Montvale location specifically is easy to get to although the parking lot can get crowded when people hit the nearby cycle place. There’s outdoor seating in a patio area shared...
