This place is so amazing! I 1000000x recommend it! I’m so glad I found this place for my family to enjoy. We were in CT for a wedding and heading back to VA today. Needed breakfast before leaving. As expected of a Sunday around brunch time, it was busy. The mama, our hostess at the time, mentioned that she didn’t even want to say how long the wait was... “half an hour”. That was it!? Not horrible at all! We did have to wait just a little bit longer, but that’s ok. It was more than worth it! We sat outside with a party of 5. Preferable. Inside was just a bit small and cramped. With how fantastic this restaurant is, I truly hope they are able to expand their building! While waiting, we decided to visit the shops to the right. That is where we found out that little strip is a family business. The flowers are so beautiful! If we were from the area, I’m positive many of those flowers would’ve been going home with us. We did buy a block of honey comb and a specialty bread loaf. Can’t wait to try those. We found out Herb (the originator of the beautiful restaurant) turned 91 this year, and an Army veteran. He was sitting at the bar in the restaurant, and such a friendly, lovely man. Thank you for this amazing experience, and your service! Finally seated, we were told that the menu is made to order. One of the best things to hear at a restaurant. Because everything on the menu sounds great, but of course, not everything agrees with everyone. So we were able to switch things up to our liking. Awesome! Corey(?), our waitress, was such a sweetheart. She didn’t like me, for whatever reason, but we loved her! (🤣I joke, she’ll get it.) The coffee was amazing. They gave half & half and sugar to go with it, which was good enough, nothing else was needed. Our food was delicious! Bottom line: I suggest you try the sweet potato hash. It has a kick and damned good! I even got the shirt lol. Also, the banana bread with blueberry French toast! 🤤 The bacon was so delicious, not too salty. No complaints from our table! Sorry for the long story... that is just how amazing this huge discovery was for us! Just sad I didn’t get any pictures. Hopefully, we’ll be back some day (and it’ll be expanded). Thank you so...

Read moreI have been going to herbs for at least two years now and unfortunately this is not the first time that a slight change of request to a menu item has cost me an excessive amount of money. I purchased the herbs man version, my girlfriend purchased the herbs female version with the added request of vegetables and cheese in her two egg side. The waitress said that's fine but I will have to charge you separate for the omelette. With no additional explanation or breakdown of the price it seemed like there was an added charge for the cheese and veggies. Herbs man size and herbs woman size are both $11.50. When we got our receipts my order was correct at $11.50, my girlfriends receipt however was a separation of the bacon, pancakes, and omelette totaling $18.00 ($9.95 for an omelette, $3.95 for the French toast, and $3.95 for a side of bacon. So when we explained how confusing this was and how it was not explained to us the owner sympathized with us at the cash register and then proceeded to charge us the full price at $36 for our breakfast!! I've never paid that much for a...
