Forgotten Taste Pierogies LLC — Restaurant in Moon Township

FROZEN AND OVERPRICED. ONLINE MENU PRICES ARE WRONG Yup, all of their pierogies are frozen. You cannot buy any pierogies fresh only frozen. You can buy in half dozen and dozen bags out of the deep freezer. Or you can buy them ready to eat as a meal , but all they do is cook the frozen pierogies. Why in the hell would you make all homemade pierogies just to freeze them? If I wanted frozen pierogies I can get them at the store for 1/4 of the price. EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. 6$ for a half dozen give or take .25-.50 cents depending on which kind. Dozens are around 9$+. I got a dozen potato and cheese and a half dozen jalapeno, which both tasted the exact same, and it cost 15$ DOLLARS for 18 pierogies. That's nearly 1$ each. With that being said the pierogies are decent and I did enjoy them. However, I would never go back for what it cost. For top dollar I expected top quality pierogies , not frozen ones . There are better places to buy pierogies that are fresh and cheaper . Couldn't believe the prices for...

These perogies have a thinner dough than several Ive had in western/greater PGH - to me, but THIS is the right way. They're not supposed to be stuffed halushki!

I got 6-hot beef/mushroom, which to me is non traditional, since they were a food for Lent.... but they were SOOO good (and, it's July! Ha!)

I also got 6-hot traditional potato / cheese, which was exactly what I was expecting, not thin/runny on the inside, right amount if flavor, not too salty.

I also (!!) got 6-hot cottage cheese - what a delight. Ha, I want to put some apricot jam on them!

I did get a side of saurkraut... and to be fair my mind was hoping for an opened/heated can if kraut (hahaha!).... so I was not a fan of the red sauced kraut.

For the record, I could have, but, did not try eating them all in one sitting!

I am definitely going back. Save me...

Absolutely disgusting 🤢 never ever AGAIN!!! Dried up nasty no cabbage no butter no onions had I wanted garbage I would’ve gone in a dumpster !!! This is definitely not the quality of food I received upon them opening I guess 2020 and greed sunk into not only this business but many many local businesses. I would definitely recommend chain food over this local business you at least know what you’re expecting ahead of time which isn’t anything to brag about there at all as well !!!
