I've been to this location for take out 5 different times. Each has been an adventure. My daughter has a gluten allergy, so we order GF or cauliflower crust pizza. I get to the restaurant a few minutes before my order is said to be ready, the take out person comes up and gets my name, then provides an estimate of delivery. All of these processes are good!
The 3rd visit and last visit were the most entertaining. On visit 3, I was told 5 min, then the manager came out and said they had made the order incorrectly and it would be another 10 min. 30 min later, I walk in and ask if it is close and am told 5 min. 15 min later, I walk back in and ask to speak to the same manager, who told me they had made the order incorrectly again and there would be no charge. I asked why no one had come out and told me, so I could make a different choice for dinner. At this point I've spent far too long waiting on pizza. When I asked for a GM, there wasn't one there.
On my 5th visit, I went through the same process as all the other times and was told 5 min. After 20 min, I went inside to get the story on delivery. I was told again by a different Manager, my order was made incorrectly and there would be no charge. I asked to speak to a GM to share my experience from my previous and current visits and was told there isn't one here. I then asked for a number to the DM and was given a card with the GMs name and the phone number to the restaurant. Obviously, this is useless as the GM seems to never be around.
Anytime we have dined in, the experience is great! We don't seem to have any of these issues. The food is usually good, except when they mess the order up and leave anything that wasn't a mistake sitting while the correct the errors, then it's not so good. If you're doing take out and request anything special, beware! The new store in Norman on 24th is much better, we have only had one issue there and it was corrected in minutes.
I don't like creating reviews like this. I would prefer to alert a Manager to solve the issue in house, but there would need to be one on site to tell. I don't want free food, I don't want gift certificates, I just want them to be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsually they get 5 Stars which is the only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1. Tonight was a disappointing experience. I was told my order would be ready in 40 minutes. I arrived 3 minutes early and paid, I was told it would be ready in a few more minutes. Several people (at least 5) came in while I was waiting and stated they were early, even so, their pizza was ready. After the crowd disappeared 10 minutes later with their orders, I was still waiting. At 15 minutes after I was originally told it would be ready, I stood and at the same time a young lady stepped up to the counter thumbed though about 5 or 6 tickets on a pin, turned around and picked up an order from a shelf and called my name. Needless to say, by the time I got home with my food, the pizza was cold, the fried mushrooms were cold and mushy and the cheese sticks were cold as well. I love Hideaway Pizza and I sincerely hope that this was a one time issue at this location. I've brought pizza home from twice as far at other Hideaway locations and it was still to hot to handle, that's usually the case at this location too, but not tonight. I really would just like to know what happened and to be reassured that those responsible will be counseled so it doesn't happen again. I expect after waiting 55 minutes for a pizza for it to be hot when I finally get it, I don't think that's too much to ask.
Update: Officially done with the Moore, OK location! This is my second bad experience at that location. Pizza tonight was the absolute worst pizza I have ever had anywhere. We ordered a large half Big Country and half pepperoni. The big country had maybe 1/4 the normal amount of toppings, could hardly tell it from the pepperoni side actually. The crust was so overcooked it was inedible. Itās ridiculous to pay $22 for a substandard pizza let alone one you canāt even eat. Love Hideaway Pizza, but this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExcellent pizza, great salads, especially the most delicious wedge salad and tasty cocktails. However I can't go for 5 Stars here because our last visit was this week, on a non crowded weekday, yet the service we got was more akin to having been served in a highly crowded restaurant on a busy weekend. There was no reason on Earth I should have had to go to the kitchen, grab a waiter, and ask for sweetener for my unsweetened tea. Also, no one came back to ask us if we needed refills on our teas. That's unacceptable, even in a crowded restaurant. However, as always, the pizza is superb. We usually ask them to cook it an extra minute for an extra crispy crust. The salads are so fantastic that on that basis alone I'm inclined to leave a higher number of stars, but I really can't. I couldn't live with myself because the wait staff is a little spotty. We actually shook our heads when a really good-looking young man was seated directly across from our booth. We had that sinking feeling that we had lost the rest of our waiteress' attention for the evening. And we were right. Teenagers and their hormones are one thing, but the hormones taking over and dominating the entire eating experience for us are not our idea of a good meal. Put some blinders on your waitstaff, and let's see how it...
