This is only our second time coming to this location, but both times we've had to wait because they had run out of something. I understand, that can happen, not a big deal. But this time was something else.
First, they waited until I arrived before even boxing our online order, because they had run out of both white and brown rice for the cub meal and wanted to know what to put instead. I said all veggies. I go to wait, and realize after a while that all three meals are now boxed, sitting and waiting. I had ordered spring rolls, and saw they were out of them, so figured that's what they were waiting on. The person who had been boxing my order was filling up ice for the drive thru, and didn't tell me why I was still waiting. Eventually the spring rolls came out, and she kept getting ice, didn't finish my meal or talk to me or anything. I finally got another worker to get my spring rolls and bag my food so I could leave.
We got home to discover that none of us had veggies - not the half veggies for the two entrees, just full fried rice, and not the veggies or any side at all for the cub meal, which seemed to be the reason they waited to box our food in the first place. And the cub meal's teriyaki chicken had chicken but no sauce. So the cub meal was just unsauced chicken with no side.
Running out of stuff happens, but I don't know why they waited to box my food, why I waited 15 minutes past my order time, why I didn't get some of what I ordered, or why no one communicated with me. I do know that we won't be going back to...
Read moreThree visits in a row they have been out of fried rice and/or orange chicken at the time of my order. Update: I tried again. This time everything appeared to be available. However, the drive thru person was clearly doing two things at once and not really listening to my order.
My order: 2 Orange Chicken bowls, 1 plate with Orange Chicken + Honey Walnut Shrimp.
What was entered: 1 Orange Chicken bowl, 1 plate with Orange Chicken + Honey Walnut Shrimp.
I attempted to correct him, instructing him that there are TWO bowls. He modified the existing plate to a bowl, resulting in a still-incorrect order.
I attempted to correct him again, instructing him that there are TWO Orange Chicken bowls + ONE plate (Orange Chicken + Honey Walnut Shrimp). He then got those correct… however, entered in my plate as double Orange Chicken.
At this point, I was amused at having a simple order not being correct after three attempts.
I have updated my rating to 2-stars on the premise that “it can always be worse”. I am sure one day I will forget these experiences & try again, and will post an update.
UPDATE: May 2022
After several normal visits, our luck ran out again.
3 meals with orange chicken so overcooked it was completely inedible. I will trudge my way through an overcooked meal, but this was legitimately inedible. I'm talking rock hard, beef-jerky-texture inedible.
I'm sympathetic to an overworked / understaffed kitchen .. but this lies on the manager's inability or unwillingness to correct...
Read moreI haven’t been back to Panda in a while. Why? The service at this location is always garbage. Thought I’d try again last night. I’ll give it to them. They’re consistent. Consistently trash. Place my order. Get to the window and pay and I’m told pull up and wait for my food - chow main wasn’t ready. There is no where to pull up. So I go around to the front of th building where someone else was told to pull up. Now they’re blocking the exit of the drive through. So I pull into a parking space to get out of their way. 5 minutes more go by and I decide to go in. I go inside and say I’m waiting for my drive through order. The guy then tells me they don’t have teriyaki chicken. So I’m like give me a refund. The kid gets the manager and the manager asks what the problem is. I said you don’t have teriyaki chicken so refund me. He asked who said that? Does it matter? You only have 4 people working. Then he looks at the time to see when I came through the drive through. Again what does it matter. He then tells me they can make the teriyaki chicken but it will be a “long wait, like 15 minutes”. Didn’t sell me on the phrase long wait. Got my refund and left. So...
