First time guests. It did not take long to be seated. Once seated, it did take some time for our server to arrive. The server asked what we would like to drink. I ordered the water and sweet tea, my wife ordered water. The water had an off taste. We placed our order. I asked the server if a certain hot wing sauce was really hot. The server was not sure. I asked if I could have a sample of the sauce to taste. Took a little explaining to the server what I was asking. The server obliged. My wife ordered the Hickory Burger (well done) and Fried Okra. I ordered 6 Chicken Wings (breaded. The menu said, "smoked, breaded, or traditional".) and the Hangover Burger. After a little time, the server brought me smoked wings with hardly any sauce. I told the server that is not what I ordered. I ordered breaded. The server asked if I wanted the wings taken back and brought breaded. I told the server yes. The server returned with the same wings and informed me the cook said they do not have breaded wings and left the wings. Our server appears to be unfamiliar with the food and menu. Our food was finally brought by different servers. We informed them it was not our food. They looked puzzled and took the food to a different table. Two different servers brought us food. Again, it was not our food. My wife informed them the server behind them had our food. My wife's Hickory Burger was not well done, was barely warm, and had no hickory sauce. Her Fried Okra was cold and soggy. The Hangover Burger had a little bit of mayo, no other condiments. My wife had to flag down our server to get hickory sauce. There are no condiments on the table or offered when ordering. No ketchup. No salt. No pepper. None. I finished my meal and my wife finished some if hers. The whole time we were there, the light above our table would flicker. Good thing neither of us had a condition that would be triggered by our personal strobe light. Our server returned to see if there was anything else we would like. I asked if they had dessert. The server informed us no, but they did have some type of apple Danish thing. We declined. Our server presented the the bill. I entered my credit card and immediately a tip option appeared on the handheld device. A little uncomfortable situation with our server hovering. Right after the tip option, a survey appears. I clicked on one option and could not read the rest. The server pressed "Skip" and the survey disappeared. During our dining experience we observed the dining staff hardly being attentive to their customers. We received no compensation for the lack of advertised items. I understand this establishment is newly opened, after a long delay. However, I would have expected the staff to be better trained and the menu tweaked to be accurate of the...
Read moreLet me tell you about our visit... We arrived at 6:30pm, finally got our orders taken shortly thereafter. We ordered Nachos, a Bowl and a Chicken dish. Around 7:30 we flagged down our waitress to ask what is going on with the order. She told us there is a huge backup in the kitchen and that things are taking a little longer. She explained that other servers were going in and demanding their orders so things were getting bumped. Oddly she didn't do the same for our order... We sat and watched several other tables that came in after us get served. We waited until 8pm to flag her down again and ask what is going on. She said there is a big backup still. However, we have watched the restaurant clear out and there are several empty booths and tables now. We also watched countless people arrive way after us get their orders served to them. We asked at that point to see a manager, no one ever came to talk to us. By 8:30 we have had enough, 2 hours after arriving, no communication from the staff, no food has been served. We basically wasted our Friday evening here. At this point my girlfriend did get up and demand to see a manager. A man came from the back and before she could say anything he started with excuses of having IT problems. Now she was pretty loud about asking what is going on and what he is going to do about how bad the service was. He immediately and I mean immediately said You cannot yell at me and you have to come outside. Which we did go outside to talk with him. He said what I am going to do about this is ask you leave and if you don't leave, I am calling the police. Which made my girlfriend even more upset and she said you bet call the police.
This is how you handle a situation like this? Where was management during the evening? I would think if you are having problems in the kitchen and with the orders you would be in the front of the restaurant going to each table that is having issues with their order and introducing yourself and explaining what is going on. Asking if there is anything that you can do to make the experience better as they worked on getting things straightened out? As soon as someone raises their voice your first reaction is to make them leave and threaten the police?
I understand this was opening night, however if you cannot manage to communicate to your patrons and you threaten police how are you going to stay in business? We will NEVER go back and we will make sure anyone and everyone we come in contact with knows exactly how the business is run. We live very close to this restaurant we saw how it took almost a year or more for it to open, now we know why.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a restaurant and the management is grossly...
Read moreUpdate*My husband and I have since visited this restaurant two more times and I have to update this! Both of these visits exceeded our expectations on all levels! The service was amazing. We had Autumn as a server and Kaelyn as a server and both were so helpful and kind. They both went above and beyond for us and gave amazing service. We never wanted for anything either visit. The amazing service was somehow topped by the food that we got and that is really saying a lot. We had the southwest eggrolls and the sweet chili sauce is just out of this world for those amazing eggrolls. We have also had the baja grilled shrimp tacos that were amazing and very flavorful and the side and chips and salsa. That salsa may look different, but give it a try, that is the best salsa that I have had in a very long time anywhere!! My husband got the west coast club sandwich and that was amazing too. The second time we went we got the potato skins for an appetizer and they are so good too! Then I got the rotisserie chicken and the baked potato. The chicken is so juicy and has so much flavor! My husband got the carne asada tacos and they were so good too. He got a side of the white queso and chips and that was amazing too! Everything that we have gotten from here has been flavorful and generous portions. We will be back soon to work our way through the menu and see what other amazing flavors are waiting for us. The prices for the food is great too! This the perfect place for great food at a great price! Give them a try, you won't regret it! Amazing service, food, and great atmosphere! You can't go wrong!
A friend and I tried this place for lunch and really liked it! We started with the Southwest eggrolls and they were so good! Then I got the wedge salad and it was the perfect wedge salad and done the way it was supposed to be! She got the soup and a side salad and really liked hers as well. The atmosphere was really upbeat on a Sunday afternoon. We did not have to wait for a table and our waitress, I think her name was Ashton was amazing and very helpful since neither of us had been there before. She did an amazing job! The prices are really fair for what you get and the quality of food was good as well. Looking forward to going back and trying some of the other dishes that they offer. They have a brunch menu as well. ...
