Nestled just a mile or two from route 38, this little gem shines bright with great tasting, and fresh, bagels. I am a huge fan of Taylor Ham ("Pork Roll"), Egg, and Cheese on an onion bagel. I've ordered from here through uber eats before but I got a chance to visit the establishment in person this time around. Glad I did too, aside from everything being prepared fresh and right in front of me; I had the privilege of speaking with the owner. This gentleman was kind and down to earth enough to come over as I was enjoying the bagel with my date. After a few brief conversational topics, the owner thanked us for stopping and buying food from his locale. Haven't experienced this in quite some time, north Jersey was the last time roughly fifteen years ago. Very pleasant man with a great and humble business in my opinion. The staff was friendly and quick to produce the requested sandwiches. It was overall a very uplifting experience. For breakfast food, this place kicks a$$! Clean interior and a well oriented exterior with people working there that care (or know how to fake it for the betterment of the customers experience and the business). Great work everybody, don't stop doing what you're doing, just move closer to Cherry Hill is all. 😁 Meeting the owner was an added benefit. Highly satisfied with the food! (Will add pictures next chance, too good to wait around and forgot to do so...
Read moreI really have grown to enjoy the Farmhouse breakfast sandwich from Manhattan Bagel. So much, that I have often stopped here about once a week or so for the past couple years. However, I have made the decision that today's Farmhouse was the final one.
This decision comes from one other consistent factor that I have experienced here as well, which is that there is one particular employee at this location who makes me feel unwelcome. I do not know a name, but the interactions I have are usually that she takes my order and/ or hands it to me when my order is ready. I try to maintain a calm demeanor in general, exercise proper manners, but no matter what, even if I say thank you when receiving the order, there is no version of a response, and her overall demeanor is just negative. And today, the bag was thrown at me when the order was ready- I just don't get it.
It is for the above reason that I will not return again. I am not expecting people in public-facing jobs to go above and beyond, but it would just be nice for the transaction to contain some level of common decency. I know I am not likely to receive a breakfast sandwich as good as the Farmhouse elsewhere, but there is a McDonalds less than a quarter mile away where I'm sure minimal expectations are likely to be met (especially since McDonalds expectations rank...
Read moreIf I could give it no stars for Service I would! Horrible, Horrible and can I say it again Horrible customer service. This location is right around the corner from my office and I have visited often through the years for myself and also for catering orders for my office. All the visits have been good except today. I got their at 1:45 and all I wanted was a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese. I was informed their toaster was broke and I said no problem I can toast it at my office. Normally when you order a bagel, it is loaded with cream cheese. They proceed to give me this tiny little cup of cream cheese. I requested another and the guy making my order started to fill another cup but the cashier(young lady with dark hair and multiple piercings) proceeded to tell me that would be an extra cost. I said you always give more than that when you order a bagel and it isn't my fault you toaster is broke so I should be given the normal amount. Even though the guy had it ready for me she refused to give it to me without charging me. I said she could keep but in today's time how crazy is it to upset and anger a customer over a tablespoon of cream cheese. I will think seriously about going back to this location for myself and also catering...
