CLUTCH Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Mooresville

Clutch deserves more than 5 stars. When I know that I'll be in the Mooresville area or passing through, I deliberately see if Clutch is on my way and if it's not, I make a part of my trip. Clutch has become such a special place to my family for so many different reasons. The most important reason though is my mom. My mother was a fighter and she fought cancer for 5 years. After every chemo, when she felt her worst, Clutch was her go to. When nothing else tasted good, we could always count on Clutch. She's been to 3 out of the 5 NC locations - that's how much she loves their coffee and customer service!

Mom was all about paying it forward and taking care of you - whether she knew you or not. When she passed, my sister and I knew we had to honor her in a way she would love. We reached out to Clutch E Plaza and they came through for us! What an absolutely amazing group of people! They were so incredibly patient with us while we worked out our plan and were so accommodating with our request for 100+ gift cards. I cannot sing their praises enough and I know you brought happy tears to Mom's face.

Both Clutch locations have an amazing staff - Sam, Tori, and Zach - you guys are my absolute favorites and thanks for putting up with me and my emotional self.

We purchased a vehicle from Subaru down the street and the finance guy had a clutch coffee cup on his desk, intrigued…I hopped on Google Maps and added it, to “want to go!” I love the feature of adding places to saved. It’s so convenient!

As a top Google Guide I usually reach out ahead about doing a story. And ever since I hit over 130 million views, businesses love being featured. I wrote to their marketing department about a visit & they responded and I sent some info, however myself & a companion were in the area & decided to just go for it!

This happened several weeks ago: After enduring the ridiculous traffic on River Hwy & West Plaza, we arrived and got in the line of about four cars. We were the last car in the lineup so we expected a wait, but what transpired blew our minds! The very first car at the drive-up window didn’t move! What a complete & utter waste of time!

I took & wrote an email to that marketing person about our experience. I mean what could keep one car at the front of the line there for over 15 minutes? Ridiculous!

To provide vital feedback- I detailed the experience to the marketing person as well as CC’d the owner- I believe he is the owner, and they never even responded!

The lack of common courtesy & decency to get back to a customer that had a horrible first experience at this location speaks for itself.

I'll start with saying that all staff has never been anything but very nice, however, I am not sure if they just have too many people in there at once or they are not trained properly but this is the 3rd or 4th time I've been in in 3 weeks and not once has my coffee been good. Order a cloud 9 every time and the first 3 times it tasted like solid chocolate even though I continuously ask for them to put more coconut in. Today I specifically asked for extra coconut.. it took about 5 minutes to make the drink and I could hear an employee saying they messed it up..so they took another minute or so I guess to "fix", wiped the container and gave me my drink. What I received was little more than chocolate water(not at all frozen which I had ordered), which was pretty gross if you have ever had chocolate water. I didn't bother turning around because they already had 5 or 6 cars behind me and I needed to get going. I really wish I didn't have to leave a bad review but a $6 medium drink is too expensive to continuously mess up. We probably...
