This was my first Aldi experience as there were none where I came from. First, trying to get a shopping cart was a little confusing because I never have to unlock and pay. The carts are 25 cents a piece, and are NOT your run of the mill squeaky wheeled, unaligned, dirty carts. When I walked in all the selves were low, neatly packed and the store itself was very clean. I found a nice loaf of bread for $0.85 and I was sold. The more I walked around the more AWESOME deals I found. There are not different brands to chose from which makes the whole shopping process very easy and way less confusing. For instance, sour cream in any other grocery store you would have several different brands to chose from ranging in sizes and prices. Aldi has one brand with two different sizes...and sour cream for $0.45 once again sold! I found everything my family needed and didn’t need to go to another store. How often does that happen? At check out the nice lady helped guide us through the process. Aldi does not have free bags at check out. You have to pay for ones they have, paper, plastic, and frozen food friendly bags. The paper bags were only $.07 each so I elected for those; next tome I’ll just bring my own. After checking out and paying, there is a long counter against the back wall where you roll your cart and bag your own groceries. I believe all these different methods allow Aldi to sell food at a lower price, which is actually pretty genius. Thank you Aldi for the shopping great experience. My bank account and I...
Read moreThis rating isn’t for the store but for the young lady who checked us out. Her name was Emily. I don’t think she was ever taught how to handle food while checking people out. The first thing I noticed was when she threw my 5lb bag of potatoes into my cart. Then it was my chips and then the cookies. I’m talking airborne here. Then I noticed my husband came to the rescue of the rest of the items as he carefully took them from her hands. I k ow these are troubling times but you don’t need to throw my food.i was going to let it all pass u til I took my cart back up to get my quarter out and the pin was pushed into the back of the quarter slot. So I took the cart in to tell her about it and told her it wasn’t my cart but the one that was next to her as I was unloading mine. She insisted the it was my cart and I said, it’s not about the quarter, I was just showing her the cart. Then she said “I guess you want your quarter back” and I said well yes I do. I will continue to ship there because the prices are awesome. I will...
Read moreI can't thank Shelby enough for being so absolutely AMAZING. I came across my first Karen today. The things you see on the internet you never think happen in real life. This Karen was a real psycho. I tried to get away from her but then she ran after my son and I. I informed a worker of the situation. She handled it so incredibly well! The lady was screaming so loud she could be heard through the whole store. Shelby and the other worker did a fabulous job of getting her out of the store. Then they found me and apologized. This was in NO way their fault this lady was just absolutely bonkers. I can't even begin to explain how above and beyond they went to make me feel comfortable. This is something neither had to do but did willingly. They both deserve a raise! 1. For dealing with crazy customers daily like that sheesh. 2. For going above and beyond to provide a excellent service....
