EVERYTHING about this place is great.
I went for the first time today, and I smiled before even walking through the door when I saw a cute little chalkboard that welcomed me by name as a new customer. I thought it was the sweetest gesture. The receptionist inside, was genuinely welcoming too!
I was following a stylist who moved over here (Ashely) that had done my hair before, and I loved it, but she was out of town and recommended any of the other gals there.
I ended up with Emily (who I saw was posted as employee of the month by the way) and she did a wonderful job with my hair.
Back story: I tried to get a rush appointment two weeks prior before going on vacation at a random salon in the area, and was not satisfied at all with outcome. I gave that Stylist a chance to correct it, and the color was worse the second time around with me having a skunk stripe on the right side of my head.
When you have to fix another stylists two week old hair color, you got your work cut out for you, and Emily totally nailed it!! I love it.
Now!! I have a dilemma -- both stylist (Ashley and Emily) are absolutely amazing -- who do I see next time?? Ugh! lol
No matter what I'll be back-- for the first time since moving to the area, I'm looking forward to it.
Final words: the owner was there too and seemed so genuine in her interactions with everyone, and you can tell the stylists feel the love...haha... I love to find out that businesses walk out their faith in the Lord in how they treat others (including thier employees) and support customers -- and this was...

So this was my first time at Salon 521, and I absolutely will NEVER go to another salon again!! Reagan was absolutely PRECIOUS and did an absolutely amazing job. Every salon Iāve been to always rushes the hair washing (the best part) and she took her time and then massaged my head after (honestly I was sold already at this point). She took her time in the cut and we had such great, natural conversation. I showed her pictures of what I was wanting and she showed me the back after and I asked her if she could make more a defined āVā in the back and she went back in and then was not afraid to bring a fellow stylist (Sara, who was also amazing) when she wasnāt achieving the look she wanted. I was blown away that she wasnāt too prideful to ask for help and advice! Instead of just guessing and giving me either 1. not what I wanted, or 2. trying it and me ending up with a terrible cut. She got to learn something new with the razor and I achieved the EXACT look I was wanting! I am honestly blown away by this salon! The owner should be SO PROUD of those girls!! I have cried manyyyy tears bc of hair cuts, but this was the first time Iāve ever cried HAPPY TEARS in a salon chair!!! So so amazed and obsessed with my hair and so happy to say Iāve FINALLY...

had the foils put in and was very pleased
when I went to pay I was told there was an additional charge of $3.36 for the color. when I questioned it the response was due to COVID instead of adding the cost to the customer they add it. This made no sense because the customer is still getting the charge
I felt blindsided. I was not told about this additional fee when I made the appointment. also I felt pressured to make a new appointment right away. Three times I said I wanted to go home and check my c alendat and each time I received a response on how I should make an appointment now
when I inquired about cost of a one process I was told a price which was fine. Then I asked if there would be an additional charge like today and the response was yes s it could be $10-$20 more,
i was told that all salons are doing this which is not true. additional fees are not tacked on
i will not be going back or recommending this salon. Their business practices are shady and not customer oriented as they...
