If I could give no stars, I would.
Decided meet some friends here, and I took my wife, And my 5 & 2 year old daughters. We arrived at approximately 8:30. Looking for my friend, we opened the door to the indoor dining area- he wasn't in in there. But it was open and unlocked. Found him around the other side of the building. We were going to order ice cream & sit inside, as it was oppressively hot and humid. After ordering, we found the inside locked, with no explanation, over an hour before the posted closing time- & no signage explaining. So we just ate our ice cream at the bench. After several minutes, my potty-training two year old daughter informed me that she had to use the restroom. So I politely explained to the young lady at the counter that this was our first time here, & we have a potty training toddler, & may we please use the bathroom. I had my child in my arms. The employee went somewhere in the back. When she returned she said, and I quote: "My manger said the back is closed; so NO." No explanation, no alternative suggestions, no empathy, compassion or anything. Who doesn't let a 2 year old child use the restroom?!? So we told them this was our first, AND LAST time. My daughter was in distress, & we had to try to rush home while she held it, complained of her abdomen hurting, & crying saying she had to go potty. First impressions are important. We won't be coming back, and I urge everyone to think twice. The employees were rude, disinterested, & mangement lacking- nowhere to be found, to be specific. There are plenty of places that serve ice cream that will be more appreciative of your business, instead of acting inconvenienced if you ask for napkins, when the give you 2, for a family of four earting drippy ice cream cones in the...
Read moreLoved the ice cream and the food was great. However the second time we went we were charged completely differently then the first time. They offer additional flavor a for a soft serve cone, if you add a flavor its $0.50. The sign clearly says you can add two swirled flavored for just one charge of $0.50. This was what we were charged the first time. The second, we were charged for each flavor. The employee said nothing about the charge as we ordered and stunned us the a charge of nearly $10 for four small soft serve cones. When we questioned the extra charges she rudely dismissed our questions saying that is how it's always been and we should have known better. Very poor customer service on her part. When confronted with what the signage states she refused to say more than "no that's not what it says." It was a very disappointing trip and when we contacted the owners about the problem we never received a response. :( such a shame as their ice cream was super tasty but we can't afford to be charged something...
Read moreReally, the food is good. It is a little indulgent since it's the fried stuff I like best but that's OK. My problem is the service. We went there for dinner, got food and went to a park to eat. My daughter's order was wrong and her drink was just soda water. She couldn't eat or drink anything. I wanted to eat before I drove back to correct everything so she had to wait. Ultimately, they corrected the order but it wouldn't have been that hard to get it right the first time. My biggest problem is the staff's refusal to correctly wear masks. Most of the people who work there are kids. They all had masks on, mostly not covering their nose unless someone walked up to the window. The lone adult is the boss and I think the owner. She wore her mask as a chin guard and I never saw her pull it up the whole time I was there. If the boss had modeled the correct way to wear a mask I think the kids would have followed suit. The parents of those kids should be worried about their kids...
