Taqueria Del Pueblo — Restaurant in Moraine

My reasoning for the 1 star is because of the way I felt... I would first like to say, I just happened to see this food truck by riding by on 06-12-2023, so I had my bf do a U-turn and go to it. I ordered 1 chicken & cheese taco, (paid before receiving food, like you normally would), just to get a sample and left. The tacos were very delicious, I decided I just had to go back for more a couple hours later that day. My African american boyfriend and I arrived just before closing time. I ordered 3 more chicken & cheese tacos, a chicken quesadilla, and a side of rice, paid (in cash) as normally... I then noticed a "Caucasian man" sitting waiting for his food - one of the men called him for his order and he paid with cash AFTER receiving his food - it was $10. I also witnessed 2 Hispanic men paying AFTER they got their food too? At first I didn't think anything of it, until my bf brought it to my attention (mind you, he doesn't usually notice racist things, I do!) I then thought about it & noticed the disrespect from beginning to end. There's no way that was a coincidence. I had just told my bf, that was going to be my new taco spot. Not anymore , I cannot support racial inequity & discrimination. Until you walk in my shoes, you will never know how me and my bf felt. When you know you're being discriminated against, you just know.. I hope one day things will change...

I made an order on the phone. The manager answered and had a thick accent. I had my order written down in front of me so that I would not forget anything. I had to repeat my order three times because this manager could not understand me. I speak very clearly because I am an English teacher, and to make it even clearer to him, I made the order in Spanish as well. I got finished with the call feeling like my order was not going to be correct. I arrived and after about five minutes he called me up to get the order. I repeated the order to him in Spanish and he nodded as he took my money. I got out in my car and decided to check. The order had 5 al pastor tacos and 4 burritos, 3 with lettuce. My order was 5 al pastor tacos, 3 birria tacos, and 1 birria burrito with no lettuce and no onion. I went back to tell him the order was wrong, but he insisted it was right. He even went on to tell me what I said during the order. I ended it by saying that I would take this bad order and that I am never coming back. He had no problem with that. It looks like he skipped some classes in restaurant management, such as customer service and business ethics. What a complete shame. I am going to let all my Latino friends know how this man...

We always pass this food truck everytime we go to Kroger....and everytime my daughter says, "I wanna go there"......well Wednesday June 19th was that day!! She got a burrito with either steak or chicken meat. Now according to the price on the truck it was supposed to be $11.....BUT she was charged $12 and the $1 extra was on its on line and it said Normal. What does that mean????? Why was she charged and extra $1 & all it said was NORMAL? Not xtra meat or xtra sauce....you know.. something tangible! She didn't get the tongue or butt cheek meat on the burrito which is $12 so I remain confused. SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME IN A WAY IT MAKES SENSE. She liked the burrito but for $12 we could've gotten a bigger burrito with a...
