Went to eat with my family and we eat here somewhat often, but this was the worst service and the worst day that I can ever say that we have had at this waffle House location any other day that we come in there we get the same waiter she is awesome she’s kind she checks up on us but this particular day we did not get her side of Service. We got another side so with that being said, we had a new waiter. Don’t know if she did not know what she was doing or if she just didn’t care, but she took our order and she brought our drinks brought over the first plate of food. It seemed fine. My order was fine but the last order that came out, the waffle looked completely burnt on one side the waffle wasn’t like a waffles, bacon was cold. Grits was like still hard like they added more grits into the pot instead of taking out the old grits making new grits. Grits were terrible. I believe the drink that we had was not drinkable. It took her forever to come back to our table to even check on us to see how things were going she helped three other people that came in after us, asking them if they were OK and if everything was fine, made a new family food that came in there me and my family looked, and seeing how certain things were made, and the waffle that she gave the other family looked like a waffle bacon looked like it’s supposed to had been so when she finally came over we told her that this was an edible that we didn’t want another serving And to see if she could take it off of our ticket. We overheard a guy that was cooking stating that he wasn’t taking anything off of a ticket to go see what was wrong with it, You can clearly see that the waffle was burnt on one side and not done fully on the other side. We flipped it for her before she took the plate. She never came over another lady came and got the waffle and left the bacon and said that she was gonna take it off of our ticket. The new waiter then comes over and gives a new set of bacon. This bacon is still not done correctly it is still to the crisp so we get up. We finish what we finish or what we can eat. She brings us over a ticket saying this is your receipt. We looked at the ticket. She didn’t take anything off. She charged us extra for something that she messed up on so at this point, I’m fed up with waffle House, and how They treat people like I said we come in there every so often we leave a good tip and we don’t have any problems with people you know remaking something if it’s wrong, which we’ve never had an issue up until this day and quite frankly it’s unprofessional for someone to say They’re not gonna look into it or take something off because they’re just not doing it so that will be our last time there well my last time there and when we paid for the food stood there for maybe like five minutes for someone to even check me out and she had the nerve to ask if wanted to leave a tip I kindly looked at her and told her no it’s the audacity spent almost $40 for three people, and the...
Read moreFirst, let me say we like Waffle House in general. Coffee and food are always good, plentiful, and reasonable. Normally, our only issue is how cold they keep the air-conditioning.
Today we had an appointment south of town, so we ate at the Waffle House in Moraine.
This was the worst experience we've ever had at any Waffle House ever. The place was filthy. Had I gone into the bathroom before we ordered, we would have just left. Either someone tossed their food or puked in the bathroom. It had been there so long it had dried out. The sink, toilet, and especially the door were gross. After that, I noticed trash and plain old crud all over the floors, doors, and windows. Thankfully, our booth did not give us a view of the cooking area, and honestly I was afraid to look.
Lastly, there was our waitress. She was just rude. She made it perfectly clear that waiting on us was an inconvenience and interrupted her texting. I like to drink some coffee, prior to eating. She wanted us to order our food first. I explained that I wanted to relax with some coffee first and then decided what to eat. This gives my wife and I some time to chat, that we don't get work day mornings. She got us our coffee, but refused to give us refills until we ordered. Again, I should have paid for the coffee and left, but I was so stunned by this I didn't know how to react. After she called our order out, she refilled our coffees. She dropped off the food, along with the bill, and never returned to the table. Which was fine by us.
We've learned our lesson. Next weekend we'll eat at our local Waffle House and then head...
Read moreI got into town late and just needed something fast for dinner and I knew that not much would be open. I went to Google Maps and searched Restaurants and Open Now. I found two Waffle Houses within a very reasonable distance from my hotel. One of them had some poor reviews and even some pictures of how dirty the place was which immediately made my mind this was not the Waffle House for me. I went to the other Waffle House and looked at the reviews and one caught my eye from Brent Holbrook (which you can find on the reviews tab for this location) and how passionate he was about it and the waitress. Well that made my mind up that this was the Waffle House for me! I went to the location and sat down and was immediately greeted with a smile. As the waitress approached my table I noticed that her name was Trisha, the same waitress Brent had. She was professional, caring, courteous and all the things that Brent mentioned. I shared with her that the only reason I came to this location was due to Brents review. Trisha was overwhelmed with awe and even took a picture of the review from my phone. She was so happy and I believe that this made her night even better. Folks, this is what customer service is about. She exemplifies the real deal and I'm glad that I came to this location to eat. I live in Panama City, FL and have eaten at many WH over my life, but this one made me feel like home. Cheers to Trisha!
