This may be a long review, I can never tell.
I know Chiquito had been open for a while, however my husband and I had never actually visited since they’ve opened. We usually visit spots that are new to see how we feel.
Well, husband gets off work late and felt like having a bite to eat somewhere; he will enjoy an adult beverage of course to get a feel of the service. I agreed to go, so off we went (last night) to try this place out at 11:30 pm.
When we got there, there were still customers inside besides ourselves. I wish I got the name of the woman who was helping us, I believe her parents own the business, but she was very nice, very helpful and very attentive. She answered our questions about the menu and showed us deals.
The husband and I got the taco platter I believe it’s called, the chicken potstickers and a side of regular French fries. I have no complaints. Everything was so good, but I didn’t come with an appetite and it was late so I enjoyed what I could.
After sitting there until near closing time, we didn’t feel rushed or anything at all when she informed us bar was closed and closing time was 30 minutes from that time.
All in all, we would definitely visit again. Excellent atmosphere,...
Read moreI can only give a 4 star for food, as I've only just started to try their menu. But I'll give 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for what I did have. Nothing greasy but good flavor. Family friendly environment, some of the greatest staffing I've come across and easy on your budget. There's a little something for everyone on the menu. I was surprised to receive a complimentary bowl of soup and fresh roll. The soup was good but that roll was perfect. I had chicken strips and seasoned fries. Chicken was juicy but not greasy. Taste was perfect for whichever dipping sauce you choose. Fries were fluffy inside and crispy outside. And they have extra seasoning in salt shakers. I was able to sample their house molé. Has a clean taste that doesn't overpower the food. And the chicken and cheese chimichanga had juicy chicken and perfectly melted cheese wrapped in a tasty fried tortilla. It's not a traditional Mexican restaurant atmosphere, but it's a very inviting with a vibe all it's own. And I hear that there is more to come. Definitely...
Read moreThe place when I went on a Sunday afternoon was empty probably due to Sunday football or the location. TV's were a bit loud but seems to be a bar/sports vibe since they have many TVs for watching sports so I guess that's why.
They have a billiards and dart room. I didn't get to go in but I saw that they have that. They have two separate restrooms for customers and if you press a button there's a surprise which I thought was cool. They have games for you to play while you wait for your food and if you get just water for your drink they have it brought out in a nice little container and it's filtered.
I got the teriyaki fries and the enchiladas de pollo with arroz y frijoles and they were good. Everything was good. I would suggest the teriyaki fries have less of the teriyaki sauce because it felt a little bit overwhelming and the enchiladas were a bit too spicy for my liking but they were still good. Guess the spiciness is a nod to their name...
