Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Morganton

To the owner Mr. Marco Ireta, I would just like to say that I received the most disrespectful service I have ever had. Your night manager at this Forest city location with the pink hair and nose ring, Elijah king. We arrived at your store at 11:45pm and was told that we could only get drinks because the kitchen was closed, is false advertising of operating hours a lie? After being told that we asked if there was a time that the establishment likes to close the kitchen and he responded, “when I feel like it” with quite a condescending attitude. Working fast food for 10+ years and managed for 5+ so this didn’t sound correct. After having that conversation with him I asked for the owners contact info and was denied that, so I asked for the owners name so I could call corporate, he hands it out the window and as I was asking for his first and last name respectfully he slammed and locked the window on me and as I tried to get his attention by honking with 2 quick beeps he continuously ignored me and walked away to the point that I had to get out and go to the walk in entrance to ask an employee for his name. If this is how you run your establishment then fine but please post honest fully opened hours please and thank you. Also I would rethink who is representing your store as a leader other than Mr. Elijah King if this is not how you want your establishment...

Ordered a number 9 with only ketchup ,a cheese tot and a sundrop to drink then had a seperate order for a Oreo blast, chili cheese wrap,and a small grape slush ! All the food was brought out at the same time however the hotdog has chili and cheese on it instead of just ketchup and they gave us a chili cheese fry instead of a wrap so we told the girl working with the skirt on up to her ass that it wasn’t right …she then proceeds to take it back to fix it while in the mean time my husband noticed a hair that was inside the lid of his blast so when she brought the food back out we told her and her response was “well it’s not inside the ice cream” like really who would want to eat something with someone else’s hair in the inside of the lid with ice cream ? So she takes that back to remake it and then the hotdog she brought back didn’t have anything on it so we asked for packs of ketchup and that’s when she said she couldn’t give us anymore ketchup than what she put in the bag (which was NONE ) so I showed her she didn’t even put any in the bag and she smiled and walked in and never brought it back out ! I asked for the manager (which was later told was page) and of course we waited 15 minutes and she never came out either ! I contacted corporate so hopefully something will be done about this trash that...

I visited Oct. 24, 2023 for lunch and ordered the foot long chili cheese coney dog w/fries and a cherry limeade. The hotdog barely had any chili on it…like maybe 1 tablespoon. I figured they were out because nobody would put that little chili on it. The cheese covered about the middle 1/3 of the hotdog. It was basically just a dry hotdog and a bun. I wish I had of taken a picture. It would have been funny if I wasn’t paying for it.

The fries were all crumbs and and cold. I couldn’t even eat them.

The drink was fine.

I didn’t complain or send the food back because I was on lunch break and didn’t have time. I also figured with such poor quality of food that it wouldn’t matter. What was also upsetting was that I left a tip on my card before even getting served.

I have been here several times in the past but I will not be returning. This establishment is also rundown and dirty. Several ordering stations don’t work and I have had to back out of several different spots to find one that worked. Sonic is also expensive compared to nearby fast food restaurants that serve better quality food and are cleaner and don’t...
