Ok, what is going on with El Paso. First off we stood waiting for over 5 mins to be seated, we had to request it. Got seated and waited 10 mins or so for chips and salsa. Ok we ate the chips and still no order for our drinks, once we got drinks we needed chips and salsa again. We have been waiting 45 mins after that and still no food and margarita is empty. I suggest everyone go to El Patron in Drexel and try them out or just any of the other ones. I am partial to El Patron just because the service is awesome.

Well this place doesn't look like much from the outside, it has plenty of room and great food on the inside. The service was really good. The chips came with a bean dip of some sort that is not the usual salsa. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the El Paso quesadilla which was stuffed full of vegetables and meat. It was delicious and more than that I could eat in one meal. Overall, this is a really excellent restaurant.

I visited this restaurant many times. Last night I had Steak Ranchero. My friend had the biggest burrito that I have ever seen. Our food was so delicious and the Marquita was magnificent. Our server was so mannerly, checking on us often and all smiles. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is the first restaurant off Exit 105 I-40. Bright orange building. You have to do a U- TURN if your going east.

I would like to share my experience at this restaurant I have been in business personally myself for 48 years my philosophy, and doing business is the customer is always right, especially if you won’t return business and good reviews this is very difficult for me to write a negative review Because being in business, I don’t like to do this because many times people are so unfair for no apparent reason, but I felt it very strongly that people need to know about the owner of this restaurant. It was a Sunday afternoon and I had traveled outside of Tennessee to Charlotte, North Carolina , on my way back I stopped in because I was really hungry and was in the mood for Mexican food. Win. The waiter came up to take my order. I asked him what was his suggestion on the menu and his favorite thing so I took his word for it, and ordered what he had suggested shortly there after I received my food, and it was way too hot and spicy, I do love spicy although this was way too hot and spicy and it was cold so I ate several bites of it and decided to steal tip so when I got to the register I had already left a $12 tip for a $16 bill before I left my table. I got a notification on my credit card which is a business account that someone had tried to charge something on my card And my bank had closed down my card so when I got to the register to pay I explained to the owner for the $16 bill what it happened and I showed him on my phone where I had gotten notification from my bank not only did he make a scene to embarrass me in front of everyone in the restaurant But threatened to call the police. I informed him that I knew many people in the area of Morganton, and around the Morganton area that he should be familiar with that were personal friends of mine that also had Mexican restaurants, and that I would assure him that I would pay my $16 bill if he would only give me the opportunity to make several phone calls instead of complying to my request, he continued to embarrass me in front of everyone in the restaurant and follow me out to my car to take my tag number and tell me he was gonna call the police I said to him sir what is wrong with you? We are talking about a $16 bill. I have no intentions of not paying this bill but I do not have any cash on me at the time and I have no access to my ATM card he stood in the parking lot and yelled at me and treated me like a hard criminal. When I left the restaurant I called a friend of mine is 20 minutes away that at one time had worked for him And he said to me I’m not surprised at all He is a real jerk and very difficult to work for that’s why I was only there for a short time I asked My Friend would you do me a great favor and told him my experience would you please go to the restaurant and pay my $16 bill when he arrived at the restaurant, he explained to the man that I was a very decent And kind individual. He paid my bill and assured me by giving me a copy or sending me a copy to my phone!!!! This man needs to understand their consequences for his actions for $16 bill that was paid within 45 minutes of leaving the restaurant so I ask you do you want to give this kind of businessman your business and guess what the food was lousy the service was lousy, and his attitude was embarrassing for him as a business owner. I hope he reads this and understand you never know who you’re talking to you never know who you’re waiting on always treat everyone with class and dignity and respect I’m beginning to look at a lot of his reviews and I’m finding that I’m not the only one that is been so unsatisfied I guess that’s why he only has a 4.5 stars like I said I would much rather give a good review, but this was necessary for everyone to know what a piece of...

I live in George Hildebrand about 15 miles south of El Paso Restaurant. Been doing business with them for over 10 years. Not the cleanest place in town bathrooms are pretty lacking. But they have good food at a fair price, and their Ceviche is to die for. Today is November 4th 2018. I called them at 3:40 p.m. to place an order. (My wife works at Western Carolina Center and she was going to pick supper up and bring it home) . The man that answered the phone was rude, my wife wanted two cheese enchiladas and a side of rice . He asked me if she wanted red sauce or cheese sauce I said I don't know you just can you put them on the side he said no red sauce or cheese sauce. So I had to get off the phone and call my wife to see what she wanted. I called back three times finally when he answered he said and exacerbated voice yes sir what do you want which is it red sauce or cheese sauce (obviously had caller ID) I said red sauce. I then asked for a order of ceviche , and three tacos carnitas. I requested some roasted tomatillo salsa for my tacos he told me that we would have to come into the salsa bar and get it our self. I couldn't remember if I had ordered the rice so I asked him if he can repeat everything back to me to make sure that we got everything. He said no ( with a perturbed voice) I don't have time to repeat your order back to you. That's when I told him if you don't have time to repeat my order back to me I will not be back there , just cancel our order. I told him he was very rude and disrespectful. I know this is very long review but I just want everybody to know what they're dealing with. I hope this is an isolated incident with just one person being rude and not a mindset for the whole...

Do not come here. There are much better Mexican restaurants in the area, try Las Salsas or El Portal. My family and I usually go to one of those two locations, but we decided to branch out and try walked in and it was a rather nonbusy evening, however it took longer than expected for our waiter to come take our drink orders. We ordered and received our food, preceded by an order of queso dip that was rather skimpy. Once our food arrived we had to wait for our waiter to come back by to ask him for silverware. Our food was okay, 5/10 at most. I had a chicken enchilada covered with cheese that was okay, but none of the other food was above a 5. Oh, and when they brought the food out, they forgot my taco, I told the waiter that brought my food, and then he proceeded to never bring it. When we got the check, I mentioned that I never got my taco, and asked if he could remove it from the check, but I was met by a blank stare and pretty much a “tough luck”. I didn’t even want the taco anymore but my only option was to take a taco to go. Then on my way out the door, they asked if meal was okay and I said “eh, sorta”. The cashier just looked through me and said no other words as he rang up the order. Total cost for three light meals, including all waters and one queso, was $32. Definitely not worth it. Save your sanity and go anywhere else. Also smells bad inside and outside the restaurant....
