Mostly the waitress was so cruel. This actually happened in August but I was so disturbed about it I waited to post this. Morrilton is the midpoint of where I live and my parents. We were meeting here to pick up my daughter who spent the summer with my parents. I've been suffering from horrible health issues and really could have used a freaking drink. I live in a dry county and when we walked in, waitress wouldn't even let me go to the bathroom, I have large ovarian cysts that have caused internal bleeding and urinary urgency. She acted like I was rude because she put me on the spot. I wanted to pee, sit down and look at a drink menu. Well she forced me to name a drink, I said diet coke because I saw no visible signs of beer etc. I typically get a water if I get an alcoholic drink. When I came out of the bathroom, she kept pressuring us to order, never offered a drink menu. I was so rushed nothing looked good. That apparently aggravated her more so I just ordered a plain burger to appease the beast. Then I finally found a drink menu, it took forever for her to come back and two people were done eating before the rest got food and she never brought my drink. I wasn't going to eat until she did. She ignored us, and kept catering to a morbidly obese family, must be her regulars so they got special attention while she ignored us. We finally got our bill and she said.. whoops I forgot to order your drink. She was so nasty I was afraid to take my meal home because she probably spit in it. Our bill was $90 and 2 meals sat there. My daughter was so sick by her treatment she lost her appetite, my sons burger was dry, it was a specialty burger with fried goodies on it and a tiny bottle of ketchup helped him swallow the dryness. My father and daughter were scared of the coleslaw because it was all Mayo slop. Worst restaurant experience since moving to Arkansas and I hope that waitress...
Read moreThe sun vanished quickly over the horizon as a steady mist blanketed the dusty old path near the Colton's Saloon door. A tall and handsome figure appeared from the mist, snapping the door open abruptly with a single palm. Rowdy voices from inside all hushed and every glassy eyeball in the place fixed their gaze on the source of the disruption. It was the man himself, stepping forward into the warm red light - Jason of Legend. Even more attractive than the tales told, women fainted as he glided gracefully across the dining room floor and seated himself at a booth in the corner. A server burst through the kitchen door and nervously supplied him with a menu. "P-please sir Jason, take your time." Jason of Legend slid the menu off to one side. He already knew what he wanted. He wanted what he had come here for dozens of times before. The tension in the room ratcheted up as the now quietly murmuring patrons observed the scene, peering over their beverages while they tried to sip nonchalantly. Just then, Jason spoke. "I'm here for the ribeyes. You know the ones. Cooked to perfection. Moist, melts in the mouth, sixteen ounces of unadulterated meat gently kissed with that signature seasoning. And I want every single one you have." Each and every diner at Colton's jolted up from their seats, applauding with tears streaming down their cheeks. They say he devoured every last bite with the spirit of a true-hearted hero that day. It fueled him to later protect the town, paint a house, save a puppy, and plant a tree all in one uplifting...
