This was my first time going to this restaurant. My friend and I went based on Google review ratings. We walked into a beautiful open restaurant with very colorful decor. Lots of art on the walls and every chair and table was painted with a different scene. It was very attractive!
When we're trying to order the food, the waitress was very helpful. My friend and I both ordered tacos but because we weren't sure what to get we were able to alter our order slightly. My friend ordered the pork tacos with half of them on flour tortillas and half on corn tortillas. I wasn't sure whether to get the fish tacos or the Cajun shrimp tacos, so I got two of each since each order of tacos comes with four.
Everything was really good. The waitress was very sweet and we never needed anything because she was right there checking on us. The food was good and we had plenty to take home with us because the servings were very large.
The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that there are no prices on the menu. However, there is a QR code that you can scan on your phone for a menu with prices and I have to add that the restroom was very nicely decorated and clean. I also liked it that unlike most restaurants I've been to recently, they had the heat cranked up and I was comfortably warm, including the restroom. It's these little details that make a difference and Las Leyendas deserves five stars for...
Read moreWe decided to make a quick stop at Las Leyendas and what a GREAT decision that was!!! Valentina our server was awesome, super attentive and especially detailed in describing food heat levels which I appreciated very much. But this place won me over with their FRESHLY made tortillas; which believe it or not is an option to pick from. The appetizers were amazing; we picked Guac and the Chorizo one. The freshness was so obvious that it was hard to stop eating. By the time our main courses came we were stuffed but it didn't stop us from enjoying them both. Portions great, taste was great and the service was great. The spot in itself was a little unnoticeable from the busy Route 10 highway but they are worth the trip!! Find this jewel location and enjoy authentic tasting Mexican food. The atmosphere itself was also very cute, super clean and friendly. A must try if you're around this neighborhood. Will see you again Las Leyendas team!! Thank you for an amazing...
Read moreA great start but an underwhelming finish. We got the chorizo and cheese for appetizer. It was delightful. Really good. Entrees were good. On par with Rivera Maya and the likes. Dessert had potential but was ruined. We got the churro and the apple chimichanga. The churro had some kind of caramel(?) sauce in the center which none of us liked. If they were to omit that they would have been pretty good. The apple chimichanga had a cherry(?) sauce drizzled over the whole thing. It overpowed the flavor of everything. It wasn't apple anymore, it was cherry sugar sauce. If this was omitted it would have been pretty good. There was one waiter for the whole floor. He did his absolute best but was clearly behind and stuffing to keep up. One extra person or even a bus boy would have been welcome. All in all we will go back, but will be more mindful about asking to 86 some of those dessert...
