We visited this place earlier today. The staff were having their meal when we arrived, so we sat down and began looking at the menu. From the moment we ordered our drinks, the woman with glasses was extremely rude and irritable.
I simply asked if the tea had caffeine because I wanted something warm, but she said she didn’t know, so I just ordered anyway. She didn’t even look at us after we ordered drink. After waiting awkwardly and making eye contact a few times, she finally came over to take the rest of our order.
When I asked what one of the items in the photo was, she snapped, “It’s just a picture.” We were planning to order two appetizers, but after that attitude, we canceled one. She then aggressively scratched something off her notepad with her pen and continued taking the rest of the order—still chewing food and glaring at us with a clearly annoyed expression.
Both my husband and I were immediately put off. I told her, “Why are you being so unfriendly? I’m sorry we interrupted your meal, but we’re hungry too—that’s why we came.” She just looked at us with a look of disbelief and said nothing, so we decided to leave.
As we walked out, we saw a man who seemed like the owner standing at the register. We told him, “You should fire that woman,” and left.
Food is important, but the attitude of the staff plays a huge role in the overall experience. I don’t know how the food tastes here, but the service definitely needs improvement. If that woman leaves, we’d be happy...
Read moreI didn't have high expectations from a place with such a generic name. I'm leaving two stars because the staff is actually really great. The food, however, is abhorrent. I don't think anything is actually made here. It's a huge list of frozen and prepared appetizers. The soups have absolutely no umami or intricate tastes leading me to believe they are using premade broth. It's just thin and salty. The chashu was chopped up burnt tips that had no particular taste. There was corn in shoyu Ramen for some reason. Now if you want to add corn that's cool but this was no effort frozen/canned corn. There's no thought behind it. It wasn't fried in lard/garlic or anything. There's a farm a few minutes up the street with some of the most incredibly sweet and crisp corn around and you can't even be bothered to use local corn? There's also wakame added which much to my surprise made the broth taste even worse. Wakame doesn't go in ramen usually since it so strongly effects the taste of the broth. Rather you'd add nori to get some nice aroma. It saddens me that people will go here and this will be their impression of what ramen is. Cheap, prepackaged and premade ingredients thrown together with no thought behind a cohesive and...
Read moreMega Ramen and Black Ramen are also worth recommending. My choshu pork in my black ramen was a bit too crispy, but still it tasted delicious.
Food is very good. Shoyu ramen had noodles properly cooked (with enough "bite"), ramen egg was also perfect. Shoyu pork was charred properly. The broth was just a bit spicy - not overwhelming. Will definitely be back to try other varieties. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly but overbearing.
Second visit. Food is good and fresh. I would recommend Takoyaki - you can find pieces of octopus in it. Ramen is also good - I've ordered my mild so spice will not hide any shortcomings, and was not disappointed. Spicy miso ramen is definitely worth trying. TIP: If you're driving by, and don't see and parking up front, just drive around the building - that's a big, free parking lot.
Thirs visit. Shoyu ramen was great. Spicy miso ramen was good too. service as always attentive but not intrusive. Due to certain constraints, we did not sample the rest of the menu. Hopefully it will happen on...
