Let me start off by saying I'm not from around here but if there's something I know about restaurants it's how they're suppose to make quesadillas. I work at a nearby business and I usually order food from this place because their nearby, however; I will never order there again because they literally gave me a quesadilla that was SOGGY and threw the condiments over the quesadilla with the sauce all over the lettuce. I Can name you three restaurants in your county that have quesadillas that are not soggy, put their condiments in plastic ramekins (which every restaurant is suppose to do) and don't throw them over the food, and lastly make it crispy ! The manager at the moment said "that is how we make them around here" which is ironic because the picture on their menu shows a perfectly made quesadilla not covered in condiments,so that's false advertising but anyways she proceeds to tell me and my girlfriend Who bought two of them said "you're lucky we're giving you a refund for one of them because we would be losing $33. "Now I got the garlic knots and they were OK but I recommend you check your to go order for now on because I don't want YOU the PEOPLE wasting any of your money like I have. I used to come here for lunch every Friday and Monday and I can safely say I will never come again for the disrespect and poor service they gave us. I wish them well and hope they treat other customers and their food with respect and give them what they pay for. FYI When I received the quesadilla from my gf I had just got back from running an errand at the moment and had arrived five minutes after It was finished and it was still hot so in case someone makes the excuse they got soggy because you waited too long...
Read moreI've been coming to this place since the early 80's back when I knew the original Tony...and his son, Johnny.
The place has gone through some changes over the years (ownership, remodeling, and menu). Overall, the pizza is good...but it can be hit or miss every now and again. I've had much worse at other places. The owner has expanded and opened up another place (Palermo's Pizzeria & Family Restaurant...Pine Plaza in Whippany)...but this review is about Tony's.
I've ordered food other than pizza here and have never been disappointed. This isn't fine dining, but rather expect that you will get decent meal for the price.
I can't be objective about the service because I frequently come here with my kids. The staff knows what we normally order and always serve us with a smile. That said, I've never seen/heard anyone complain about anything...

I appreciate that Tony's renovated their space to make it inclusive for those that want to dine-in, instead of picking up or getting it delivered. It seems like the days vary on whether they have a waitress available, so it's usually easiest to order at the register and let them know you'll be taking a seat. The food is great, and the prices here for a good Italian meal are fantastic. I enjoy the Olivia salad, steak sandwich, and believe their pizza sauce is the best in the area (other places make it too salty or tasteless). Plenty of street parking and parking in the lot behind the buildings on...
