Sam's Pizza — Restaurant in Morris

This is the first time I have ever left a 1 star review at any establishment in my life. I always thought if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Unfortunately, I cannot go without warning others. My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Morris for my sister's wedding. We got back to hotel and we thought it would be nice to buy pizza for her and her wedding party and have it sent to their room. We ordered 2 Sam's Special and 2 sausage/pepperoni pizzas and a salad. When delivery driver came I walked to their room to sign credit card receipt. Total was $254.00!! I said to delivery driver, "This cannot be right. $254.00 for 4 pizzas and a salad?" His response was, "I'm just the driver. You'll have to call the store." I regret now signing the receipt but I figured it will be resolved when I called. I was wrong. The workers accused us of ordering 5 pizzas and a salad. I kept arguing that we did not and "even if we did how does that total come to $254.00?" They refused to give me an itemized receipt. They were very rude and unprofessional to me on the phone and kept arguing with me. They sent delivery driver back and to confirm there were only 4 pizzas ordered and in the room. The driver told them over the phone,"There are only 4 pizzas here. Not 5." They gave me $25.00 in cash thinking problem was resolved. I called store daily afterwards to speak to owner with no luck. I sent a text to the rude employee who messaged me the evening of the event. I explained I have never been treated so unprofessional from a business in my life. Their response was,"I don't have to be professional. I am an employee not an owner." I had the menu in front of me with prices when ordering. What I ordered was what I received but I was unfortunately completely over charged. I wanted other people to be aware of ordering from there. I don't want this happening to...

I will never eat here again. I left the pizza on the table. The meat tasted rancid, and I became very sick by the time I got to my hotel. My coworker enjoyed his pizza, and customers were picking up orders. I ordered a deep dish pizza because this was my first time in Chicago, I'mnot sure why my pizzawas were so bad, but that's 20 dollars I threw in the trash. The one thing I can say is that the 2 slices of pizza I ate didn't stay for long. I was later told by the people I was in that town training that the pizza is a hit or miss. I used to live in LaSalle County where we had the Sam's in Marseilles & Ottawa. Both are excellent. I moved to Morris several years ago & what a shock. About once or twice a year I order again- I guess to remind me why I don't order too often. Last time, I was charged $37.00 for a medium cheese & pepperoni? And not even a GOOD cheese & pepperoni. The cheese only cover about a half to two thirds of each slice, the crust is way undercooked, barely any sauce & it takes over an hour? I don't hesitate to go back to the ones in Marseilles & Ottawa. With so many other (good) places in town to get a pie, I have to believe Sams' late hours are the only thing keeping them in...
