I never like leaving reviews like this, but we came here for some good food as per the reviews and left knowing we won’t be coming back. To start, the staff was friendly and quick to serve our food, and the place was very clean. They do their jobs incredibly well. We had a Dine In meal and ordered burritos and quesadillas. We were surprised to open the quesadillas to find a few pieces of cheese and 3 to 5 pieces of steak, the majority was the tortilla. I’ve never seen a quesadilla filled that little. Very little steak at the bottom of my burrito, the rice was bland and the beans were dry, the fajita veggies were unfortunately not seasoned/cooked well and just tasted like they were boiled vegetables. We opened our foil to reveal ripped open burritos with the filling spilling out everywhere making them barely edible. Everything tasted old and cold which is very difficult to enjoy when you order any Mexican style cuisine. The queso was cold but still salvageable as the only part of the meal we could enjoy, the chips had some seasoning on a couple of the pieces while the rest may have not gotten mixed with it. The sweet tea was phenomenal, though, and tasted so good we went back for 4 refills.
I would say if you have to eat this food, grab a burrito bowl and tortillas on the side, bring it home, season it and roll them yourself to ensure it is hot & filled properly with the ingredients...
Read moreWhere to start.. I think I will start from the first thing when you walk in. “Hello! Welcome to Salsarita’s! How can we give you less food then you give your pet hamster.” This is a joke. I used to come here weekly and has went down hill. Literally 11 beans and 6 pieces of chicken in my meal. Corporate greed or just plain selfish. I don’t care. But your portions are a joke. I literally feed my cat more than you give us. It’s sad, it’s unprofessional. And a straight on disgrace. Words cannot even describe. And on top of that wouldn’t even give me a receipt. Cause then you couldn’t get a call and complain or reach corporate. I’ll say it if you want better food and actually get servings and food half the price. Go to food city and get a deli meal. Or heck go to McDonald’s. They might get your order wrong but at least you get a portion more than rabbit food. Will not be going back and would not recommend anyone to go. You want food like this save yourself the trouble and drive to chipotle or drive to Knoxville to...
Read moreI stop at Salsarita’s in Morristown, TN almost every Sunday after church. I order the same dish every single time: a bowl with extra steak and extra chicken. Today I added guacamole with my usual toppings. I watched the young man place the chicken and steak in my bowl. Neither portion was “extra” and I actually reminded the young man that I requested extra. He rudely said, “That was extra.” I was puzzled but did not argue. When I got to the checkout, the young lady promptly reminded the cashier after I told him that I had “extra” chicken and steak. My total was shockingly $20.08 which is more than I paid for my dinner two days ago at Chili’s across the street. I expected to pay more for “extra” but I also expected to actually get extra. I’m a professional in the area and preach good customer service to my team. What I experienced today was quite disappointing and will make me rethink my lunch choice in the future. I don’t expect free food but I do expect fair portions of when I pay for it....
