I ate here months ago and lost my review. Just now getting a chance to retype everything. I like to start with the positives. The waitress and one of the hostesses were nice enough, the place was semi quiet as we got there later in the day, and it appeared to be well maintained. Please note that they hadn't been open for a full week at this point so that is to be expected. They had issues making a latte. What I ended up with was a watered-down mess. My husband's pancakes were burnt, that's typically not a problem, but we didn't ask for them that way. I specifically asked the waitress what the specials were and she named about 3 things. When I had gone there I had crepes in mind and she neglected to tell me that they were a special. I was postpartum and don't feel that I should have to walk to the front of a restaurant to get the appropriate information regarding specials. I didn't realize that she failed to give me the correct information until I was leaving and glanced at the special board. The icing on the cake was the dirty silverware. Someone who seemed to be an owner or the owner's father came out and asked why we weren't eating. The waitress had replaced our silverware with plastic but at that point my husband had lost his appetite. The older gentleman who came out said that his son was cooking in the back, and pointed into the kitchen, and informed us that he would be out to speak to us. He never came out. Nothing was taken off of the bill. There was no sincere apology. So between burnt food that took way too long to come out for their to have only been maybe two other tables in the entire restaurant, and filthy silverware with chunks of food, I would...

My fiancé and I were very excited to try this restaurant when it opened. We tried it a total of 4 times and drove 20 minutes each way. We gave the restaurant multiple tries and finally decided to give some feedback, so you can improve and be a better restaurant!

Since we've been here four different times, this is no "hasty" review as the owner may claim. We complained about more than one thing today, yet the owner thinks we only complained about the BLT sandwich only for some reason. We also complained about the iced tea, water, and the undercooked french toast.

We didn't leave a 1-star review the first few times because we wanted to give it another try, because we understand that it could've been a busy Sunday or an off day, so we moved on.

This review is because the owner couldn't take the criticism and understand that we actually had a terrible experience on multiple occasions. That's why reviews exist, so people can share feedback. You can either try and make it right with them, or you can take it personally.

Staff make mistakes and that's ok. But the way you responded was not ok. Getting personal, telling him to "be better", and "stop bashing a new small business", and bringing up unnecessary ethnicity comments while you're aware that he can't reply to Google review comments, that's just being salty.

We support small businesses, we gave...

Gave this place many tries, but every time it keeps getting worse, both service and food.

Please don't waste your time or money at this place.

French toast were so soggy and gross that we didn't touch them. Basically had raw egg in the center.

The gravy in the steak was disgusting and the best part about the meal was the white toast.

The BLT sandwich came with no mayo even though we asked for it with Mayo, instead of the mayo there was a small piece of paper.

Just a bad experience that does not get better, we came here 3 times and every time it's a bad experience, but we always said "hey, maybe it's a bad day and next time it'll be better", but we were mistaken.

Oh I forgot about the drinks, their coffee is so bitter, their ice tea is so light you can still taste the tap water, and their water is straight up just water, not filtered or anything.

Btw, we've been loyal customers since Chorba, and that's the third time we visit after the reopen. But here's my two cents, the place is busy now because people are trying it, but when everyone tries it once and never comes back, that'll hurt the business in the long run.

So please take pride in your work, and better...

Nov 2024: Ma was disappointed with the Lemon curd-blueberry pancakes, she ordered it because of the blueberry component, and said she got like 3 berries in 2 massive pancakes. I liked my 3 Benedict special (1 w crab cake, 1 slab bacon, 1 avocado spinach tomato). Hubby has fillet tips & eggs special and liked it for being so tender and cooked nicely med-rare. Bil had pumpkin pecan pancakes with apples inside and enjoyed the huge # of apples. Decaf was bitter. Regular coffee was weak so I added some instant coffee to our cups to give it flavor. Attentive wait staff, clean restaurant, wobbly table. Dec2024: coffee was better today, thank you! The special country fried steak fritters with grits and scrambled spinach eggs, I enjoyed it. When my meal arrived I noticed the grits were missing and they substituted fried potatoes, uh ok I guess. We also had Beef Wellington Benedict special with crispy poached eggs and truffled tots. The Beef Wellington Benedict was 2 huge pieces & was excellent flavor. I didn't detect any truffle mushroom flavor on the cubed potatoes, but that's okay. We will be back!
