What a shame. I used to eat here pretty often, since it's right down the road from my office. It's a little overpriced, but the sandwiches are pretty good. Unfortunately, after my experience yesterday I'll never go back.
I called and placed my order, went and picked it up, got back to my office, and my order was wrong. Whatever, it happens. I called them, they said head back over, we'll rush it so it'll be ready by the time you get here. I went right back and stood there for 20 minutes waiting for the replacement to be made (while there were three other customers in the entire restaurant). I eventually got my replacement, checked to see that the error was corrected, went back to my office, and discovered that my order was, yet again wrong (they fixed the original problem but added a different one). I tried calling again, several times, and no one would answer the phone. I drove back to the the restaurant for the third time and asked for a refund. The guy was nice enough about it, but made ZERO attempts to rectify the situation. So I drove back and forth three times, wasted an hour, and still had no lunch. I'm not one to expect things for free, but giving me my money back and letting me still take the sandwich (that they now had to throw away anyway) would have at least retained me as a customer.
You'll likely have no problems if you eat here, but if you do, don't expect much. They're not rude, just seemingly incompetent.
Edit 4/2/25: It just happened again. I would never have gone back after my last experience, but my boss bought everyone in the office lunch (which happened to be from the Village Deli). I was hoping that they might redeem themselves, but yet again, my order was made wrong. A patty melt made without the rye bread is just a really boring cheeseburger. Also, the burger itself was pretty overcooked. This is their fourth error regarding my food in two or three weeks....
Read moreNot a food review, I never got any. Went to this place at 8:30am on a Wednesday, zero customers in the store. 3 employees in the front and at least 1 in the back. Ordered my $9 Egg, Cheese, and Sausage breakfast sandwich, said that it was 'to go' and took a seat. After 10 mins I checked in with the cashier to see if my sandwich was coming soon. She said that "we don't make the sandwiches up front, and that she didn't know". It's worth noting that while I was there no other customers entered the restaurant. I explained that I couldn't wait anymore and to process a refund please. One of the other employees decided to share that there were other orders ahead of mine. Having now been in the restaurant for 15 mins, I assume he meant a catering order or maybe on online order. Indicating that a customer ordering in the restaurant simply had to wait until other orders were finished. I attempted to explain how that was a bad experience for customers who came in, and the employee aggressively disagreed with me. When I requested that he no longer speak to me, he offered to come around the counter and show me how he really felt. Meanwhile, the cashier is struggling to process the refund, which ultimately took about 5 mins to complete. Perhaps I just caught this restaurant at a bad moment? Perhaps at all other times there is better service? But considering that there were at least 4 employees working in an empty restaurant with a single customer, I think the experience should have been better. And there is absolutely no excuse to be threatened by an employee of a business. Needless to say...I...
Read moreAviation Parkway location - My last few experiences with them have not gone well. The food (if you are lucky enough to get it) is good but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It seems it takes a longer time to prepare orders than my precious visits so I have tried both online and on the phone so the food would be ready when I arrived. A few times, the online site wouldn't allow me to submit my order so I tried calling and the phone just rings. This happened twice so one morning I went in to place the order in person and I respectfully asked the cashier if there were issues with the phones. She got attitude with me and says she was "told by management if she is too busy that she doesn't have to answer the phone." Note - the time of morning I go in, there are 1 maybe 2 customers in there if that. Today was the last straw for me. A big order was placed prior to mine so I was told it would be 40 minutes. Not optimal but ok... after 45 minutes I asked for an ETA and I was told they didn't know. I had to ask if she could guess. She said the big order wasn't complete and they thought it would be minimum 20 minutes after the big order was done. I was in restaurants and hospitality for 15+ years. Part of customer service is to update your customers if orders were going to be longer than initially stated and at least offer an apology or give the cook a hand in the back to expedite!! Your response should not be I don't know and then walk away. I asked...
