Earlier this year, I purchased an engraved 13 inch antiqued brass hand bell. My overall customer experience was delightful.

I was able to readily reach a live customer service agent by phone; didn’t need to go through frustrating nested menus or Chatbots first. The agent I spoke to, Cristina, was pleasant and competent, answering all of my questions, related to both technical issues and ordering issues.

The build quality of the bell is industrial grade: bell, handle, and clapper assembly. Fully functional. Really solid.

Yet, since this is a gift item, the cosmetic finish on external surfaces is very good (the inside of the bell and the clapper assembly, hidden from view, are unfinished, but free of burrs and sharp edges).

The engraving is flawless. In my initial call with Cristina, I explained that I wanted specific fonts and a specific layout. She arranged to have me send them my draft. She then sent me a mockup of the design for my approval.

Given the overall quality, the pricing reflects good value. No hidden fees (e.g., artwork fee in addition to the engraving charge, or import fee). I especially appreciated the lower cost shipping option via USPS Priority Mail instead of UPS or FedEx (usually much more expensive these days). Well packed (exceptional these days).

Processing was quick. I received the custom-engraved bell just 6 days after I placed the order.

The bell was a get-well present for a friend of mine who was recovering from an accident. She was thrilled with it; really cheered her up. Definitely a keeper. An item that can be passed down through several generations and appear on Antiques Roadshow. My friend is only in her late teens. I placed my order and their customer service kicked in with Jodi quickly contacting me with options and sample illustrations of ideas that personalize the bell. I didn't have a legitimate 'logo' so i merely sent Jodi a pretty nice picture from the internet and they reproduced it exceptionally well. Brass Bell did a great job with my bell. I called them on the phone to get some clarifications on what I needed to do. They were very courteous and helpful and explained the process and timing so I knew when to expect my bell. The online ordering was easy. I sent jpgs and docs for the imprinting on the bell and plaque on the stand. They sent me a proof to verify the printing would be correct and they gave me the estimated delivery date which they met.
