The temple is very welcoming for people of all cultures, color and background. Try for yourself. If you have questions then call ahead to have a priest available to answer your questions. You will have a very peaceful experience. Spend some time sitting in front of your select deities. All major Hindu deities are present at one place. Kind-hearted management AND congregation. They have been serving free 100-300 meals almost everyday to rescue missions (paid for and cooked by Hindus and temple, well packed, and delivered for distribution) at least since COVID. In 4.7 overall ratings, I saw a handful 1 star ratings that does not do a justice to this place. If you read the details, those were one off incidents that should have become a feedback for the individuals to the temple management and not a reason for 1 star ratings for such a fabulous team/facility. Really sad. Hinduism (aka Sanatana dharma) offers an individual choice to worship (or not worship) divinity in the form they desire it (or without the form), astonishingly the Hindu scriptures and modern science are a close match and are not at odds with each other!! All your actions, if done for the betterment of self (spiritually), others (spiritually or materially), or the society, will lead to divinity in this life or a future life. Ultimate freedom of choice still leading to the desired destination. You can experience all these at one place. Do visit....
Read moreFor the first time in my life I left a mandir without doing Darshan. In fact, due to the rude parking staff I did not even make it into the mandir. I asked the parking attendant if I could drop off my 82 year old grandmother and cousin who is legally blind and mentally challenged in the front, (I was ok with driving back around and parking in the grass) as I cannot risk having them walk through the uneven grassy wooded area where we were told the park. The attendant said "all you people keep giving me excuses" and turned to the other attendant and said I can't do this anymore with these people. So another guy came over and yelled at me to keep moving forward. When I asked him if I could drop off in the front he continued to speak rudely to me and got annoyed. Since I didn't back down he rudely told me to park to the side and stay there until he tells me to come out. I waited for 5 mins before leaving the parking lot. While I understand it is the parking lot attendants fault, I cannot help but blame the mandir committee for their lack of care in planning parking logistics for those who are not healthy and able to walk. Also, considering this is such a big weekend in the Hindu community I think it is outrageous that the temple has chosen to hire such a rude company to handle...
