A Hidden Gem with Delicious Smash Burgers and Cheesesteaks
Review: If you are thinking of dining at "The Office", rest assured you'll find something you like. Be aware while you can eat here for Lunch and Dinner it is a classic bar and grille ambiance...so if you are looking for a quiet more reserved atmosphere where you can stare into your partners eyes...this isn't it. Expect people to be having a beer, laughing, joking, having fun...even the servers are engaged and having a good time. If you are wanting somber...go somewhere else.
If this is your first time pay attention to the weekly food specials, which showcase the chef's creativity and the restaurant's commitment to offering something new. From what I've tried, the specials have never disappointed, varying greatly from week to week and aligning with the season.
Now, let's talk about the main stars of the menu - the smash burgers and hand-cut fries. If you're a fan of burgers, you're in for a treat. The smash burgers here are perfection, reminiscent of the classics but with an irresistible twist that sets them apart (get them with the smash sauce or try the patty-melt). And those hand-cut fries? They're a league of their own, rivaling, if not surpassing, some of the well-known chains (five guys anyone?).
BUT WAIT, there's more. ;) The cheesesteak here is nothing short of a hidden gem. Tender, flavorful, and generously portioned, it's a must-try for anyone visiting.
As for the ambiance, as mentioned earlier it's what you'd expect from a classic bar - cozy, inviting, and perfect for a laid-back meal or a casual hangout for a cold beer or whiskey with friends(At the time of this writing they had some really nice bourbon offerings).
In summary, The Office on Main has won me over with its classic food offerings, especially the smash burgers, hand-cut fries, and cheesesteak. If you're in the mood for comfort food done right, look no further than this establishment.
Note: I downgraded just a tad on atmosphere due to some weird items e.g. bathrooms next to grill area and sink outside...
Read moreSmall town bar with big time love. The owners, bartenders, and regular patrons have hearts of gold. When I moved back to town, after being gone for several years, I was easily able to reconnect and make new friends. It is like a big happy family. Don’t feel shy if you are new to town, traveling through, or just new to the place, because everyone is easily included. Thursday night acoustic night is one of my favorites. There is tons of local talent and you can bring your guitar (or whatever) and jump right in. They also have many great bands, my favorite, Poplar Street. They also host fundraising events, that just goes to show caring that they are. I have seldom seen even so much as a scuffle. Great place with amazing, down to earth, hardworking people. You can also come on any Friday night to sing karaoke, be famous in a small town, with a really fun bunch. Hands down one of my favorite...
Read moreAlways heard great things of this place. Wife and I decided to try it for the first time for lunch last Thursday. I ordered the BBQ bacon single cheeseburger with is $14 and suppose to come with chips but I paid $2 more for fries. Wife ordered the boneless wings with fries. Took close to 40 mins place wasn't busy maybe 3 other tables. Bartenders were nice and always checking on us. When we finally got out food I was in shock on how small my burger was. The patty didn't even fill the bun it was so small and barely any BBQ sauce. For the price this is suppose to be a $12 burger but it was smaller than a McDonald's quarter pounder for double the price. Both of our fries were cold, clearly sitting out for awhile before we were given our food. My wife's boneless wings were over cooked and hard as well. Definitely wasn't worth the $50 we spent...
