Hacienda San Miguel: House of Tequila — Restaurant in Moss Point

Seems like yesterday, 5 yrs ago passing by off I-10. Came across this hidden gem. First time around was all about the meat flautas & green sauce. I felt onioted with such fabulous meat taste & texture. Simply to be saturated with what I now call a green sauce Blessing. Today 11/19/2024 I passed by 30 min before closing. I ordered 2 orders of flautas, beans, chips & 3 different salsas. Took it back to my hotel across the street. My wife & I were pleasantly surprised once again with perfection. I can only say thank you for this exceptional tasting meal. Everyone from the young lady who took my order and staff. Keep up the great work!!! Manny Ramirez - South Florida

Hi, just a quick review on this Mexican Restaurant Hacienda San Miguel in Moss Point, Mississippi. Stoped by while driving on I-10 west for some traditional M/food. At least thats what I was hoping for, was pleasantly surprised with the customer service on my initial thought. I sat in the bar area to watch the game. I ordered beef flautas (rolled tacos) rice & beans along with a traditional margarita. My order arrived and I was blown away with the texture/flavor of the shredded beef inside the flautas. I wasn't expecting this at all. The entire dish was fantastic not to mention the green spicy salsa. I told the waitress to please give my compliments to the cook/chef on such a great dish. I mentioned earlier that I had ordered a traditional margarita I ended up having 2 more. So basically I spent the night in Moss Point. This fine restaurant will now be on my GPS during future trips. Who ever said that the best eateries are at the casinos didn't know what they were talking about.

I placed a phone order for pick up tonight on the way home from the office for what has to literally be the 100th time. I arrived, paid for my purchase, received my order and headed home. Upon arrival, I noticed I was missing an item. I called Hacienda, in hopes of arranging to pick up my guacamole tomorrow or the next day only to be chided. Stephanie, who stated she was the manager, told me she would refund my order but I should have read a sign somewhere that says to check your bag. I explained after working ten hours, commuting home, paying $68 of my hard earned dollars, I didn’t feel it was my responsibility to read a sign. She then explained that the lady who handled my pick up had told her that she told me to check the sign. This was a blatant lie. Stephanie told me she had pulled my ticket. That means she saw my order, there isn’t even a space in the pick up area to empty out a bag of piping hot, Mexican food to check over a dozen small containers. For $7 and change Stephanie, blamed me for not correcting their mistake on premises. She never apologized. She lied on me and perhaps a coworker as well and then she didn’t know her manager’s last name when I asked for the information. The food is top notch but service is far more important to me. I won’t be back and I will tell everyone in my office and everyone who frequently visits my office from out of town. I rated the atmosphere stellar because...

Parked next door at the pilot and walked over. I swear they put the restaurant there just so the truckers would have to smell the good food.

I'm from Houston, TX. I am pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food. I travel the country and eat at many different Mexican food restaurants. There are very few that get on my list to remind me to return again, but this is one of them that's going on the list. I got the small queso to start, chips didn't arrive super fast but who cares, they're busy tonight. Queso was really good. They only serve red salsa, no green. The red salsa was not spicy and had Cilantro, it was great. They have coke products! That was a big deal to me, Pepsi wouldn't have made this meal taste the same. For my meal, I ordered the Victoria Bowl with chicken fajita meat and added fresh jalapeño. This was something I will order every single time I come here now. One of the best things I've had from most any Mexican food restaurant. The combinations of all the flavors was just perfection. Only thing I'd change is, make it more spicy. The jalapeños weren't very spicy at all. I'm not complaining about it though.
